15 wins is 15 wins. They don't count anymore late than they do early.

15-9 with a 3.50 for a 5th starter which is probably the best numbers of any 5th in baseball....I'll take that every day of the week.

Im not sure what Bryant is looking at. The ump missed strike 3 on him and then called strike 3 that had every bit of the zone.

He was looking at a slow one that froze him. 14 mph difference in pitch speed matters. Thankfully this has to be Reyes last inning.

Im not talking about it freezing him. He looked at the umpire and disagreed with the call. It wasnt even really close. It was well within the zone.

Ah. It's possible he said something about a different pitch. The strike three looked like a strike from the stands.

Reyes has good stuff. 95-99 mph FB today, a deuce ranging anywhere between 79-84 mph and a change around 88. Tough to hit against.

If not there should be

Seems like it takes forever sometimes for them to have their guy pick up phone and wait for whoever looking for them to say challenge or not

Think they should get like 20 seconds from ump call to decide

There isn't a limit but it is being discussed now. Agreed there should be.

I know, and faced with keeping Hammel at current average yearly performance and getting rid of him, I would keep him. I was more or less commenting on the contrast between first half Hammel and second half Hammel. But like someone else said, at least he made it a little further into the year this year before becoming mediocre/bad.

He's not a playoff pitcher, though...

Yeah, I agree. I feel bad for him but there's just no spot for him.
