I don't think he needs to adjust his swing at all. Lunging tends to change your eye level in the swing. It is better to stay stationary as much as possible.

I am discussing just mechanics. It's just like looking at the difference between a front foot rolling over versus one that stays more flat. That has a lot to do with pitch location, but there is some personal style involved with a roll versus front toes up. Stills don't tell that story. The back heel lifting up and the foot sliding forward a few inches or coming off the ground slightly is done by most MLBers. Not one MLBer squishes the bug. One could argue that Barry Bonds was close, but ultimately the rear hip pulled and the back knee came down and in, not around. I can also think of BJ Upton sitting on the back leg more.
