Soler's a player I can buy into the hype more than Baez. When I did the preseason look at prospects numbers I wasn't vastly impressed with his power given the numbers though admittedly it was hard to get a real look at him based on less than a season of data. Looking at him now, his walk/k rates are something that looks quite sustainable as compared to Baez.

His numbers look good. He is a big boy with better plate discipline. And, he's Cuban!! :)

He will be really good.

Well, I hope it's a :fap: fest for you the rest of this season and all of next season. You might want to try and get Jergens to sponsor you.

Be interesting to see how he pitched to in 2nd AB and his approach. Thinking mostly breaking stuff

Is Turner looking any better than his pitching line suggests?

The Cubs on Tuesday sent their 6-7-8-9 hitters to the plate one inning.

Travis Wood had the highest BA and OBP of the 4.

As bad as Alcantara's and Baez's avergaes are, at least they add something offensively. Castillo? Not so much.

He throwing mid 90s.. to me he doesn't look comfortable out there.. I think he getting by tonight so far with the reds just being bad offensively. That just my take

Not watching, but I did see replay on MLB and it looked like Coghlan really played a fly ball poorly that led to Reds first run.

Alcantara over ran a ball in center. Castro boooted a ball. He wouldnt have got Hamilton but he could have stopped the run.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Turner is certainly not getting much help behind him but as someone mentioned earlier....he looks tentative out there. Doesn't have that edge that the other young kids have shown on the mound. I'd say he shows promise but Bosio needs to work with him some.

Villanueva probably doing his last month of pitching in Chicago.....thankfully.

Baez has a lot of work to do this winter. Soler and Russell have few flaws in their game IMO, which will make the big league transition easier for them as opposed to maybe Baez or Bryant.

Turner wasn't too good, but bad defense hurt. Probably won't see him make any big adjustments until the winter

Villanueva has the look of someone not enjoying being that mop up guy...

Wow! Baez hits a screaming liner. Castro thinks he hits a homerun and only gets a single. Dumb play. Ball hits the wall and Baez doesnt score and Castro has a single.
