Baez two more homers today to make 10 in AA and 27 for the year. Seconds in all the minors.

Great day for Cubs prospects -- Baez with two bombs, Bryant with a bomb, and Edwards allowed 1 hit with 8 strikeouts. #bangin'

Baez K rate is still climbing but I expect that the rest of this year. Its going to be an adjustment he is going to have to make from this year to next, but his power is really special.

Baez is heating up. Needs to get the average and OBP up.....should not have a problem climbing to the .280 average range....

I forgot to add that there was a funny cheering section for Kane County at the game in Peoria last night. They were pretty good. Is that normal for those of you going to KC games?

BA seems says that Bryant is the 10th best prospect in baseball today, ahead of even Baez (ranked 11 on rankings without 2013 draftees, of which only Bryant was ahead of him with Gray and Appel right behind Baez(, Almora and Soler. Olt 5th in farm, less high on Edwards it seems, saying he belongs in a group of Alcantara, Johnson, and Vogelbach in the 6-10 range of our system. Therefore, perhaps not as high on him as Sickels (who ranked him 73 in baseball), or perhaps indicating that Johnon or Vogelbach will be Top 100 considerations? We known BA ranked Alcantara in the 50s-60s range when they threw his name out there as a near miss for the mid-season Top 50, so maybe that whole group is on a higher level? Also said no question that Edwards and Johnson are our top 3 pitching prospects.

My rankings are coming out today or tomorrow, probably tomorrow, on WorldSeriesDreaming. My Top 9 are apparently the same as BA's (not necessarily the same order), then the next 4 of my Top 13 get tricky.

So, I wonder when Volgelbach is going to move up. The guy has nothing left to prove in Kane. Also, read his defense has come a decent ways this year. Not that its good just better then people thought it would be.

It'll be fun to see what kind of adjustments he continues to make for the rest of the year. Hopefully he's able to start '14 at AA

Baez just went boom again. 28 on the year and is right there for the most homeruns in the minors.

Baez with another walk. He is walking machine lately. 9 walks in under a 100 at bats in AA. The K's are high, but like I said I expect that the rest of this year.

So far tonight,
5 IP, 2 hits, 1 walk. He now has an ERA of 1.00. I know its small sample, but it seems he is finding his control more. Guy has a fantastic stuff. Hope he can keep it together and progress.
