bold 1- I love how you state that the sox fans care, but the cubs fans dont care in such a generic statement, its people you know, so it is a very very very small sample size.

bold 2- ehhh, no one is jealous of the IVY, girls, neighborhood, Wrigley, media attention unless it is a casual fan that really doesnt give a **** about the actual game. For me, Il state this again.....I wouldnt trade in the WS title that I got to experience, or any future titles for any of those above so called things we are "jealous" of.

I'm not calling you out dew you should know this by now its some of your sox bretheran on this site i have had a problem with. And your first quote i see truth to that its been MY experience with it, I unlike a lot of my cubs friends i cant stand the sox... Most of them could care less besides the 6 games a year. And i wouldnt say that no one is jealous sure maybe not the ivy, girls, nieghborhood, but the media attention i know drives sox fans nuts. Its like for me i cant stand how on ESPN its nothing but east coast teams it drives me crazy.

Chicago will always be a Cub town. Even after CHW won WS it still was and is a Cub town.

Eh. When you are talking about actual, real fans. Fans who follow the game, the standings. People who actually know what a balk and the infield fly rule are, and at least who some of the players are out on the field. It's probably split pretty close to 50/50. It's when you start factoring in all the pseudo, casual fans. The Lincoln Park Trixies and their pink Cub half shirts; the Wrigleyville Fratboys wearing their backwards hat and flipflops; the tourists, out of towners, when you add all that to the mix, then that's where you get the whole "there's a lot more Cubs fans than Sox fans" and "the Cubs are WAY more popular" bits.

Just IMO.

It is, no matter what anybody says. These topics do pop up from time to time but Sox are and have been playing great ball for years, and Cubs just nearly hit rock bottom recently. Wait until the Cubs are a strong team again or make another long run in the playoffs, how the city just falls in love with the team. Theres nothing like it in the country for any team.

An article like this is the only way the Sox get any press. They are a boring team with boring fans. If the Sox would have had a let down year like the Cubs last year they wouldn't be talking about a few empty seats.....the place would be empty. Give it up Sox.....when it comes to the love of the game and love for your team....you got nothing on the us!

Ya they do... the Sox aren't a boring team at all. They have Speed (Pierre), Pitching (Rotation and Sale), Power (Dunn, Konerko, Ramirez, Rios), and more. They are a playoff-caliber team.

So I am either interpreting this wrong or you are talking out of your ass.

Ya.. Gonna have to agree on this. When the cubs aren't on I enjoy watching the sox... With no rooting interest.

You interpret it anyway you want....without Ozzie they are boring.....he gets more press than anyone on that team. Look at the numbers Konerko has put up over his career....outside of Chicago you barely hear of him....because they are boring and the media doesn't waste time on them.

When I look at Konerko's numbers I think to myself "yeah, we could use that guy on our team."

 that is as ignorant as one fan can get. you are making your fellow cub fans look like idiots. I really hope there arent many cub fans that have that opinion.

I think you should look at your browser history, and or bookmarked favorite, and never click on CCS again. you have no clue on what you are talking about, and either are 1) really stupid 2) an over the top homer 3) someone just trying to get attention on a site 4) an ex banned member trolling

BTW, I don't care about just a World Series anymore. Turns out that the Global World Series is probably a reality, and I want to win that, which means winning the World Series first, btu that is just like the NLCS to me if this happens.

All you have is the Green Bay Packers and the Green Bay Chill. And Chicago Bliss > Green Bay Chill, so your Lingerie Football League team sucks. Because that's what really matters. :smug:

Its a little community coming together for greatness. Best atmosphere I have experienced, and there wasn't even a game.

Go Sox!

Same with the Hawks parade... what makes a bunch of cheese heads coming into and rubbing up on each other special?
