Besides you are allowed 1-2 USA born blueliners on a team but any more than that? Asking for fucking trouble.

Whos the last yank to win a Norris? Leetch? 20 years ago? tht guy didnt even play an ounce of defense. fucking americans are a disgrace to the position. Swedes are the only ones that compete with Canadian blueliners as far as talent goes. American blueliners just chase the $$$ and idiots pay them.

Rumors of 10.8 per... Well, Toews and Kane are apparently satisfied with 2 cups, because with those cap hits, you aren't fielding a cup winner past 2014-2015.

Yep, it was a good run. They can go for the last hurrah this upcoming season, but after that I seriously doubt they will amount to more than bitter defeats in the early rounds of the playoffs due to getting beat by deeper teams.

Agreed. Who would we have to give up for that kind of cap space?

Sharp? Hossa? Seabrook? Bickell? Try all 4.

Depends on where the cap will be. Seen rumors of it being around 75m.

Why would Bowman agree to deals that are over $1 million each above the biggest cap hit in the NHL (Ovechkin) for two guys who still have a year left on their current deals?

Besides, the Hawks never leak anything like this. I wouldn't believe a word of it.

Again, Toews and Kane share the same agent as Crosby. Do you honestly think he wants them to go for a huge salary and reduce the teams depth? I'm pretty sure after his number one client getting torn to shreds in the media, the last thing he wants is them not to have a solid supporting cast. Despite being an agent and wanting as much money as possible, he still wants the players best interest at heart and a max salary like those reported would make them highly paid, and highly miserable.

I think Stan is too much of a numbers guy to commit that much to two players, so we might have to get used to this team being without one of them if there was actually any merit to the rumors. Plus we have to keep room open for Ribeiro

I bet that if the two have signed that it will be announced at the Convention. Perhaps the leaks are from media that already know (so they can write their articles), and have been loose with info. That and that Riberio has signed an 8 year deal as well.

i dont see that many deep teams. outside of the kings once again who has the forward deoth and defensive depth that is that much better than the Hawks? Throw in craw and the Hawks are still in great shape now and in the future. at least im trying to stay positive because every team with high end talent are going to have to go through the same stages and bloated contracts as the Hawks are now (wait till colorado gets its turn). May not see the dominating Hawks teams of 2010 or 2013 againt anytime soon but with Toews Kane (when it happens) Keith and even craw locked up long term? there is still a lot of positives. not many teams can say they have one of if not t he best centers the best rwer and one of the best blueliner on its roster. craw has become a top five goalie in my mind ( sure people will debate that)no reason to think with good managing that this team cant replace the holes that will develop. the question is...do we actually have good management?
