I can't believe this is still being dragged on. It was a week and a half ago. No criminal charges. No slandering of anyone within the organization.

Just a 23 year old have a good time during the off season.

I'm assuming many people are complaining because he's "a role model to children". If that's the case, the parents need to step in and explain to there children how this is "immature" and "douchebaggary" (even though about 90% of those children will get drunk in college at some point).

Are we that terrible of a society that we need athletes to be the ones who set the moral/ethical code?

He's showing the kind of maturity that most people I know showed when they were 16. Not 24(which he will be in 6 months). I think that's the point most people are trying to make. The shirt he was wearing, with the limo picture on it, and KANER on the back, while hilarious, is extremely immature, and shows he isn't taking the negative attention seriously. He's not a kid anymore, and with fame and fortune, comes some responsibility. It's pretty much just embarrassing for everyone involved. Those pictures would embarrass me when I was in high school, let alone as a grown adult.

[sup]Not true. As an employee of CBS, he is bound by the same journalistic ethos as any other reporter.[/sup]

[sup]Do you truly believe that he would be allowed to represent his opion or speculation as fact?[/sup]

[sup]To say otherwise is just incorrect. [/sup]
You're fucking kidding me right? That's exactly what he did, he gave his opinion.... on an internet blog.

Don't look now, but it seems McD has given the go for the Trib to blow up Kane. I guess he wants some ammo for when he tries to trade him. At the end of the day the kid still hasn't done anything Illegal. Or been charged with anythign.

Again, he's 23/24. The season is over. Is Cinco De Mayo going to hurt him on the ice? **** no.

Would getting blasted the night before or during the day of a current game hurt him on the ice? Duh.

I hate sticking up for him, but he's having fun and enjoying life. He can do whatever he wants in the off season as long as its not illegal. Shit, he didn't beat up a bouncer or get his ass kicked at the bar. He didn't go toe-to-toe with his coach. No DUI. Nothing outside of going to a party town and getting hammered on Cinco De Mayo, trying to act like a normal person.

I do get what you are saying Pez, but IMO, it's not a huge deal. The only people who are making a big deal out of it are the media as they have nothing else to go on about (Cubs and Sox suck, Bulls are done, Bears aren't in camp yet). Wait till some Bear player gets busted for drugs/beating up a stripper/DUI/dog fight, and this will go away like it always does.

Morrissay<sp> had one the other day as well. So instead of focussing on the real question, the front office mess, our beat writers and Jay (since he's so credible) are paying attention to Kane, who other than making a poor decision, did nothing really wrong.

Yup! From Stanley Cup, to fiasco in just two years. Then again I don't work for CBS so that's just my opinion. Oh and Toews did NOT leave the scene of an accident.

I kind of remember a couple of parties when I was 23-24 where I'm pretty sure I did the fish in a mud puddle. Then again I was in Grad School and far from an adult.

Remember when Sutter beat the shit out of Arnason in the Columbus bar? That was pretty priceless. Nice Shiner too.

...possibly away to another team. The problem is; you are not the Hawks' upper brass so we will see. I hope it is looked over by the Hawks' upper brass. Like I said before, his age isn't the issue; it's the corporate image that has to be taken in account.

All we can hope for is that the Hawks' organization use IHN to measure the public's perception on Kane.

It's not a huge deal to the intelligent people out there, but I would like to see Kane remain a Blackhawk as I don't think we've seen his best yet. We all know what kind of dickhead runs this organization, and I would NOT put it past him to have Kane traded because he doesn't like the way he conducts himself off the ice. I mean, the fact that it showed up in the Sun Times and the Trib should say a lot.

He did nothing wrong or illegal, just foolish and immature. I just hope he starts making better decisions. In a month, this will be forgotten anyways but McDouche will remember it.

When I was 24 I was serving as an intelligence analyst, and a Sergeant supervising 20 troops, in South Korea. On my off days I was in the village next to our base going dancing, playing pool, and hanging out with my friends all while getting shit faced.

It showed up in those papers because there are pictures and dozens of articles about it already out there. So they were certainly not letting the cat out of the bag. For them to say nothing and ignore it would be a waste of a good journalistic opportunity...you know, to sell papers or get hits on your web site...

McDipshit might shoot some reporters in the face but that is usually reserved for the guy/gal/paper that scoops the story.

Secret Service are screwing Hookers in foreign Countries.

...and being removed from their jobs because it reached the public, it's all about embarrassment not the action it self.

BTW, serious as a heart attack!

I figured it all out folks. McDick gave the shirt to Kane, told Kane to go out and get hellabombed. It was all McDicks idea so everyone ignore the disaster the front office is.

God forbid they talk about what a mess the front office is. Personally I think Mcdonough would rather people be talking about Kane than Haviland vs Q, and or anything else "hockey" related.

you can't be serious? it was about putting the life of the President in Jeaprody, more so the embarassment.

That too...I would guess it wasn't the first time that happened, it probably was the first time it made it to the public.
