Kane's injury

Just seeing if anyone was paying attention of course!

Uh huh....

Hossa, Bolland, Eager, Burish, Campbell then games here and there from others.

So they had quite a few man hours lost last year by starters. Especially when all of them missed good chunks.

Speaking of Burish.... he's going to be on ESPN 1000 in 10 minutes (5:20)...l he's always a great interview.

Weird Turco is not facing his old team.

Crawford has played better, and, what matters most, hasn't lost in his last six starts. I imagine Crawford will be the #1 until he hits a rough stretch. I agree with Q on this one.

Yea and Nittymokin was playing better than Niemi when Niemi faced the Hawks. I'm not saying I disagree, just saying it's weird. I don't necessarily think Crawford has played spectacular in his last two starts, we just scored more goals. Just as Turco was not at fault for losing to Vancouver.

Told ya it wasn't his knee.

Seabrook missed a few games from the Wiz hit as well. There really were a lot of man hours lost last yr. but there also was more depth to compensate when it happened, not so much this year.

I just hope not having some of the star offensive talent in the lineup means some of the guys that have been underachieving start producing.

Toews and Seabrook also missed time near the beginning of the season for concussions as well if I remember correctly.

Agree on the depth ONLY because guys like Bickell, Brouwer and Bolland have yet to step up. Bolland and Bickell stepped up against the Flames the other night, and they will need to continue that type of effort if this team expects to win games while Hossa and Kane are still out.

Hossa is very close to returning.

Exactly, plus this years depth is in the AHL.

We can't bump Pisani up on the depth chart to play on the 2nd or 1st line like we could with Versteeg or Ladd last year. We have to try and bring in some skilled guys in the AHL to try and play a skilled spot on the roster.

Was gonna be nice and delete the post, but figured it would be more fun to point and mock.

Kane and Pisani are on the ice practicing.

No Hossa so he's probably a no go tonight.

There is speculation that Kane could return as soon as Friday.

That sounds kind of soon, especially since when he had a similar injury before, he was ineffective for a long time as he tried to play through it.

I'm sure the team docs know what they're doing, however.

That's really early, isn't it? He'll be back before Hossa? Must not have been as serious as they thought. I hope he's not rushing himself back.

He has absolutely no say in the matter of when he gets back in the game.
