Without even watching the video, there's no way Caleb could call protections and audibles from day 1 like he did without being a hard worker.

Agreed on this point. It's proof that he put in the time I think.

But fake news capitalized? That's like holding a gigantic sign with an arrow pointed at you that says "LOSER!"

Not sure you understood that so trying to help you out.

Not in that video you just linked, sounds like poles is saying the prior coaching staff completely botched his development, instead of focusing on the basics they figured he was already elite and put way too much on him.

This was pretty clear to everyone, too. You watch nix and jayden and their offenses are a lot less complex and they are asked to do a lot less. Waldron, or whoever the eff made the call, decided caleb was ready to lead a complex nfl offense like a veteran from day 1.

"Steps skipped", "becoming a professional".

Dude was better in 2022 than he was in 2024. Part absolutely falls on the coaching staff and Poles but the biggest thing that alarmed me about Caleb coming out was losing 5 of his 6 final games. He finished this season with 10 of 11 of the games being losses.

These aren't forever concerns but he's gotta be significantly better and from our vantage point it's impossible to diagnose everything perfectly.

It's not surprising that the coaching staff that had 3 historic 4th qtr collapses the year prior messed up Caleb's development

if you say so, that entire interview sounds like he's blaming the guys he put in place to develop caleb

It is absolutely this. He's saying the coaching staff skipped parts of development to get Caleb to game day. He's not saying Caleb is unprofessional... he's saying there are parts that need to be developed as part of being a professional and the staff skipped those parts. A professional staff knows the standard and needs to teach that standard. A rookie can't just know the standard alone. I think it's fairly obvious what's being said there.

Simply put, if it was a Caleb is lazy problem, why would Poles have any confidence that a new coach would fix it? What's so obvious in the whole thing is that coaching was a problem in prepping Caleb and Poles believes the new coach will be able to fix the deficiencies in the last approach.

This. All the beat guys were already talking about in camp.

I've been going to camp yearly since the early 2000's.

The flus camps were the easiest and most uneventful I've seen, but i figured it was just due to the new "NFL Rules". Guess we know dude was just soft and he let his team be soft too.

Sure but there was a lot of head scratching about how sloppy it was with Waldron even compared to Getsy. With just competant coaching this could have won 6 more games.
