Damn...you must really like them. I have to get some and try this. I could use more seafood and don't they say it's best to eat those that are lowest on the food chain? I think they do. Would make sense anyway. Think I'll give one to my youngest son first so he can tell me what it tastes like. He'll eat anything and usually like it.

They are all the things they say. I grew up eating them here and there so imo they are gr8. Most ppl think they are gross but most ppl only like a handful of things.

Seafood is awesome. I could eat grouper, redfish, flounder, etc every day.

Are ya a fan of sardines?

Not seeing the correlation between the 2. Why so anti-chocolate milk? It's delish.
I think they are ok, but don't go out of my way to eat them. Fish in general though...big fan.

Ok so question for the diet/fitness gurus here.

I did Atkins for 2 weeks, then had a shitty eating weekend with Super Bowl.

I went back to Atkins for 4 days leading up to my Vegas trip this past weekend Friday-Monday.

I got stuck in Vegas an extra day because of the weather, so I ate like shit Friday-Tuesday.

When I finally got home Tuesday night, I stepped on the scale expecting to see my weight and body fat back up near where I started.

I was down 3 more pounds and 0.5% body fat from when I last weighed in on Friday before I left.

Is it just lag in the effects of the diet/exercise?

And my shit eating will catch up to me in a week?

I've always been cognizant of the fact I don't eat near enough seafood. Americans, in general, simply don't. I have supplemented Omega 3s to try to compensate some. Maybe too late to try to work more seafood into the diet as polluted as the oceans are now. Also read farm raised fish are very unhealthy.

Sardines are super low on the food chain and one of the cleanest fish to consume.

I normally try to avoid farm raised and get locally harvested stuff. A little more expensive but worth it. Probably easier in Florida though.

I'm gonna try them to be sure. I know about the positives. The only negative I've seen associated with them is being high histamine.

Did you notice a difference in your calories while in Vegas? Were you walking on the strip a lot?

That said, depending on where people are starting, they can be a lot more relaxed on their diets when they start and still see results. Once you start to get around 15% body fat, it gets hard. Really hard.

I keep getting this ad on Facebook. For the keto people, maybe you want to check it out. The reviews are good. If I was doing Keto, I would try it.
Yeah, that's still useless crap to me. The thing is once you move on from shit food like donuts and cookies, you lose the craving and really don't need a substitute no matter how much better the ingredients used are claimed to be.

My calorie count in Vegas woulda been thru the roof methinks, not to mention all the carbs and sugar/alcohol.

I did quite a bit of walking, and on Monday I tried walking almost the entire strip, but still seems unlikely to counteract what I was eating/drinking.

Not so much about calories as it is the macros. Your body doesn't work in caloric fashion. It treats every macro differently though.

If you have an iphone, you can go back and track how many steps you took on those days and compare it to other days. Most likely though, your diet was in enough of a deficit in the other days to counteract the bad days.

Keep doing your weigh ins and make adjustments when necessary. A couple bad meals won't derail an overall consistent diet. Keep that in mind and don't beat yourself up over a few moments of weakness.

To be clear, I accepted I was going to Vegas to eat and drink like a monster lol

It was my bday weekend.

But now that I'm back, I am going to hold strict to Atkins until I meet my goals.

I just figured the bad 4-5 days would set me back a ways, or at least hold me at the same weight.... kinda shocking to eat like shit and see your body fat and weight both drop.

I weighed myself like 9 times on Tuesday to be sure the scale wasn't glitching lol.

Carbs and sugar bad. bad bad bad. At least you were moving around though and I know Atkins, especially in the beginning, restricts carbs greatly so you likely went from a ton to near none and so looking at that time period overall even with the cheating, you took in a lot less of that sugar (that should be taxed through the roof).
