It's primarily social pressure of the Church, and it can be very very intense social pressure. People outside of the Church don't often have such social pressure.
I mean I get what you're talking about. Not saying it doesn't happen, but it's definitely not something that happens everywhere in the church.

This thread... U jokesters.

Happily married for 2 years now. We dated for just over a year before I put a ring on it. She's got a nice butt and can cook gud. AND she loves me for some odd reason. That's all I was looking for TBH and IMO.

lol proving my point exactly.

Have fun, GPP!;)

Don't let the possibility of your wife cheating keep you from getting married if you desire getting married. Some women are very happy have great sex on occasion but have very happy marriages otherwise. I don't know why Mericans get so hung up on sex.

I don't desire it. I don't understand it, either. That's just me though. Hey, like the saying.. "Want a happy life, get an ugly wife."

Not sure what church you go to, but I would avoid it.

I don't, I grew up in a great household but all of my parents friends were very religious. I was raised catholic, and my mom was very religious, dad not so much. But seeing their friends live through marriages they had was sad.

I wonder if '50s suburbia was portrayed right in the book/movie Revolutionary Road?

Do catholics still excommunicate people for living in sin?

Do you get all your information from fictional books and movies? Do you ever wonder if Osmosis Jones is an accurate portrayal of how human anatomy works?

That was just one story dude. Not all 50s guys were frustrated dicapribros

No not at all. I'm just stating the idea of the American Dream, and what it really. How many people lived in shadows back then and felt it's what they had to do?
