I'd still draft a QB in Rd 1. That said, I'd keep Matt as my back up over Hoyer.

Totally fine with that, especially if Barkley cannot replicate his performance today.

he does seem to have a penchant for trying to squeeze some throws into way too tight coverage...but most of his throws were accurate

Barkley had one terrible throw, he should have put the 2nd pick 10 rows into the stands when he was flushed.

The first pick was not a great decision, but was a good play by Woodyard and was a really soft route by Brauckner.

He's a smart QB with a calm demeanor, that's not an issue, that's probably his biggest strength actually. My question has always been does he have the physical tools to run anything other than a dink and dunk NFL offense. Not sure about that, and as a Barkley fan I was hoping he'd get a chance on a better team than Chicago, but oh well, here's to hoping it works out.

The QB situation may not have changed, but the FO would be foolish to dismiss what Barkley did today. That performance, especially in the second half, was nothing short of excellent. He was good pre-snap, he looked off the safety repeatedly, found his secondary receivers and made very accurate throws. If he continues to improve, it will be very hard to justify using a #1 pick on a crap shoot QB.

I followed the Eagles when Nick Foles was the starting QB, and Barkley was kind of a joke. I thought he would be a disaster today, and he was far from it. He now has my attention.

If we can grab 1 of the top Qb's in this draft, we should. We can't be lulled into a false sense of security again.

There was virtually 0 film on Barkley for D coordinators to go off of. Add in the fact that yhe Titans secondary sucks, Im not surprised by Barkley production. Im surprised there seems to be a pass given to Barkley for his 2 red zone ints, and before i hear well he is young his 1st start. Take into thought that Mariota coming into that game had 31td and 0 int in the red zone. Guess i wasnt as impressed with Barkley as others are.

You really have to throw this game out concerning evaluation. The only thing worse than the Bears receivers refusal to catch a ball was the Titans secondary's refusal to cover anyone. This was one of the most surreal and pathetic games I've seen in awhile

In his 1st career start he played about what I expect from Cutler in his 160th.

So he is starting at the point Cutler seems to have finished.

Barkley in 1 start threw for over 300 yards and 3 TD's

Cutler has done that twice in his entire tenure with the Bears.

Barkley in one start has only one less TD than Cutler has in five starts this season.
