So what?
He's a good pitcher in a great offensive division. Now he's going to have the opportunity to pitch in a much weaker offensive division. We're giving up mediocre-to-good prospects that are unproven for someone who is proven, in addition to adding some stability to a very inconsistent starting rotation.
The NL Central isn't an overall offensive division, but the MVP always comes from the NL Central and they have most the the NL's top sluggers.
