the grand canyon was wonderful. I went there with the wife and it was amazing. As far as other countries we visited, for me personally I loved Seychelles and Iceland. Both beautiful for different reasons. Greece is close behind.

If you haven't hiked down, you should. It's really cool.

I'm shocked at the amount of Colorado responses. I've taken the I-70 route to Glenwood Springs three times already this year and I love it every time. For all of you Colorado lovers out there:

The Great Sand Dunes National Park is one of my favorites. It's way out in BFE in south central colorado. Closest major city is Alamosa. It's the largest sand dune range in North America...and it's badass. As you approach the park you think, "Pfft, this is it?" But once you park and make your way to the dunes you realize how perfectly beautiful it all is. It's like your in the middle of the Sahara desert. It's pure, perfect sand and every day the dunes are different due to the swift winds at 7,500 feet. You can hike and get lost in the dunes and it looks like it goes on for miles. Bring a sled or snowboard-you'll thank me later.

Then you turn around and you're staring at 13,000 foot peaks still covered with snow. It's truly remarkable. I take my family every year during the first week of June. The runoff from the mountains is strong and it creates waves of alpine water through the dunes. I bring rafts for my boys. You hike, then cool off in the river. It's one of the most amazing/stark contrasts I've ever seen.

Then, go hike Zapata falls, and check out the Alligator farm (if you have kids). Then, at the end of the day, travel 10 minutes to Hooper Hot Springs. That area of Colorado has it all and I truly love it. You can do a google image search, but it won't do it justice. You need to be swallowed up by that environment to truly understand it. But, I'm telling you...late May/Early June is the ONLY time to go to get the best experience.

Did I mention the UFO tower and endless starry skies?

Honestly, if I ever decided to leave, Denver would probably be where I went. I very much enjoyed it out there.

I once spent a few days just hiking trails through the Grand Tetons in Wyoming. That was definitely non-stop postcard moments.

Enjoy all the comments,
but for seriousness, Can we get back to describing the most beautiful places yuns have ever been to instead of all the talk about the shitty suck ass roads you all travel? Thanks.

I too am also NOT well traveled. Atlantis in the bahamas was beautiful and Ibwould reccomend it especially if you have children.

Domincan Republic was amazeballs as well...15 years ago...Not too sure how I feel about going now and beer bonging the local fake alcohol that is offing everyone.

Finally Colorado... Amazing state and for mountain lovers, the Appalachians simply dont compare to the Rockies.

That's on my to do list for maybe next spring/summer. Planning a trip to hike down and even camp there.
We went in August. It was scorching hot.

Keep yourself in good shape. Bring lots of water. Head lamps as well. Go in the spring if you can.

I've been to the Grand Canyon in May, June, July, and August. August is the worst, June was the best, May was great during the day, too cold at night. If you're staying in a motel or camper and plan on hiking, May is the best.

Wear good boots and know down takes 1X, up takes 2X.

Alaska is the most beautiful state in the US.

The drive (or train) from Talkeetna through Mt. Denali to Fairbanks is amazing. Blows the Rockies out of the water. Then if you want to get really adventurous, you take the Dalton Hwy up to the arctic ocean. You get to see unbelievable scenery of black pines covering huge mountain slopes while the occasional moose, grizzly or musk ox passes right in front of you. Then, about 100 miles past the arctic circle, all the trees magically clear and you are in the tundra.

Anyone here ever been to New Zealand? At the top of my bucket list.
I’d absolutely love to go there and Australia but not sure how to do it considering my fear of flying. London was a ***** but the prize was well worth it.

While doing 9 months in Las Vegas we went to the Canyon at the end of January and had a blizzard to deal with for about an hour you could not see 20ft ahead of you.

Not related to the thread, but when I was a little kid I would literally cry before going on a plane. I had such a tremendous fear of flying. Lasted till I was 12-13.

I'm cool with flying now tho

Started when I flew into Denver. I was 15. The plane was landing and they let another plane take off under us. It turned the plane on its side. They called it jet wash but I knew better. I had a couple other near misses after that but the last few have been decent.....that I can remember.
