Wow that's crazy.
My last flight was from Chicago to Kansas City.....45 minute flight took 2.5 hrs. We were backing out and all of a sudden they pulled us back into the gate and said “ they forgot to add fuel because there is weather around K.C. And we may have to circle......nope did not believe them. Looked at weather in K.C. BRIGHT AND SUNNY. NO STORMS FOR DAYS. Reminded me of a time we were flying to Arizona for Bears-Cardinals game. Midway airlines....started to the runway, turned and thrusted the engines, headed for a takeoff...suddenly the engines went soft and we turned back to the taxiway, returned to our gate....forgot to refuel. They actually made us get off the plane...we went in and had a few drinks. Got back on plane started the take off routine....engines thrusting ....nose up.....engines catches fire. Nose down. Actually took us back to terminal..people screaming and freaking out. 12 hrs later and free alcohol on the flight we made it.....they gave us a free round trip ticket in the continental US for our inconvenience

Garden of the Gods was pretty interesting. If you are in Manitou springs I would hit it up.

Also the drive from Loveland to Estes Park is awesome, just be sure to make a right at the fork in the road (where it says estes is to the left) for additional awesome scenery that still takes you directly to Estes.

Thats all in Colorado obviously.

For New Mexico I would just point you to pick from this list and add that there are a lot of awesome drives you can go as well.

Not one of the most beautiful places, but I went to Puerto Penasco, Mexico in March. Pretty solid sunsets. Right on the coast of Gulf of Mexico. It's just a short 4 hour drive from Phoenix, which was the draw for us as we were visiting some family there. It's cheap as hell compared to other popular destinations in Mexico. The local tacos weren't to bad either.

Awesome seafood there. You can get shrimp that's the size of chicken fingers.

I did a triathlon there once.

I once saw @Urblock's wife.... I went blind for 20 mins and started doing deck shots... she's too hot for the brane to comprehend.

Does that count?

Yeah, you don't get that kind of shrimp in the flyover states. It was ridiculous.

The shrimp are amazing there and eating pescado muerte at Gammas.... Fucking amazing.

It's kinda turned commercial but it's still pretty great.

Sounds like it's the Iowa of Mexico.

My wife and I got married several years ago in Aspen, Co during the fall. Aspen, Snowmass Village, Independence pass , & the Maroon Bells is the most beautiful combination of scenery and experience I’ve ever had

Before we were married we spent a week camping in Yellowstone, that was amazing. We didn’t see any wolves unfortunately but we saw several bears and got to watch a grizz chew on an elk carcass for a while

We spent a week and a half in Alaska. Spent a few days in Anchorage, drove to Denali and took a bus ride into the park, then a week long cruise to Vancouver. We were there in May so most of the wildlife was still buried in snow. Pro tip though, go to a salmon bake in Alaska. I ate the equivalent of $200 of restaurant salmon that was alive earlier in the morning. Much recommend

When I lived in Florida I took a few boat trips from Everglades City through the ten thousand islands which was really cool. There are frequently dolphins that play in the wake of the boat

There’s so much else that I want to see, just need time and money to do it

Not very exotic or anything. But I enjoy going to Starved Rock and seeing the waterfalls. Hope to check it out in the winter too.
