The point is: it sucks to suck. And thats Shadeur. Sorry not sorry. You can play the semantic game but the point remains.

It has happened before and not only did the team not leak anything, they still won't say the name of the qb. And the guy isn't in the league anymore. But the point is, he was allowed to continue the process and bust out on his own, unlike Sanders. It's not quite that easy of an evaluation. The question becomes whether a white QB in that situation falls that far. I think he does. Pride thinks he doesn't. I didn't quite expect him to fall to day 3 so pissing people off was definitely part of it. The issue is whether they would have been as pissed off by a white QB. I think so as the issue is more at the HC, OC level who probably told their GM that they didn't want to work with him.
I'm kinda surprised it was the Browns that took him with the controversy they've already had there and another QB taken earlier. Will be fun to follow that camp.
Hard Knocks?
We are all entitled to our own opinions. The point is: it sucks to suck. And thats Shadeur. Sorry not sorry.
This.Without a doubt our black team president and our black general manager conspired with the other 31 teams in the league to not draft a black quarterback, even though a black quarterback was drafted #1 overall the last three drafts in a row by 3 different franchises.
Meh, I think homicide might be worse than “my dad is a prick”The point is: it sucks to suck. And thats Shadeur. Sorry not sorry.
But who has been charged with homicide and then drafted? Or even manslaughter? Or vehicular homicide? (Hint: nobody) L’ael Collins was mentioned as a person of interest in a homicide back in 2015(?) and he went from 1st round hopeful to undrafted. Telling prospective teams that were interested in drafting you to NOT draft yourself and then acting like an entitled pompous ass in interviews is probably not a good thing to get hired by an employer. I’m not an HR specialist but I have to imagine it isn’t a wise strategy.Meh, I think homicide might be worse than “my dad is a prick”
@Scoot26 please ban @bamainatlanta for his obvious lack of humor by clipping this movieBut who has been charged with homicide and then drafted? Or even manslaughter? Or vehicular homicide? Below is a link to how he interviewed:
Last season 1st 2 picks were black QB's year before that 1st 3 QB's and 3 of the 4 top picks were black qb's. This draft made it 3 yrs in a row that a black QB was taken 1st OA. Race stopped playing a role in QB selection, not many years back but that racism dog don't hunt no mo'.The NFL has a long history of not wanting to give African American players a chance at QB and for years would always suggest they should play another position. Even Lamar Jackson had to wait until nearly the end of the 1st round to be selected despite having an amazing college career.
Its not that crazy. With that said, Shedeur is a dickhead and not nearly as good as he thinks. He still deserved to be picked earlier based on who was taken before him, but either way hopefully he and his family learned some valuable lessons.
Maybe but no rational person views how SS carries himself as just confident. He is a 13-12 daddy retiring his jersey, forcing players to go to his "rap concert," telling GMs not to draft him, blaming his teammates arrogant asshat. He makes Ryan Leaf look like a glue guy.Nah, well not completely. This is a humility issue. I do feel that some people feel that when black families show confidence it can be claimed as arrogance and that ruffles some hive minded feathers.
Peyton, Eli, and Arch Manning , Chris and Kyle Long , Cameron Heyward and Christian McCaffery say helloIf Shedeur can figure it out, he has the tools to be an nfl qb. However, I don’t think I have ever seen a soul in the sporting world with the deck stacked against him to this degree in figuring it out. He would need to practically forget everything he has learned about everything non football in order to do that, and I don’t know if anyone is capable of that. He was spoiled rotten. It’s hard not to be spoiled when you come up with so much money and prestige.
Yeah but is non homicide worse than "I have marginal NFL skills but am as big a prick as my dad that could back up being a prick and I promise my baggage and team distractions will far outweighs any minimal benefit I can offer your team as QB2 or 3?"Meh, I think homicide might be worse than “my dad is a prick”
Yes, 50 years ago the NFL did not draft black quarterbacks. Partly because colleges were not producing them. The NFL has a long history of not wanting to give African American players a chance at QB and for years would always suggest they should play another position. That has changed long long ago.
Great, now do all the sports stars kids who didn’t make it.Peyton, Eli, and Arch Manning , Chris and Kyle Long , Cameron Heyward and Christian McCaffery say hello
The NFL can always count on the Browns to do the wrong thing. Manziel, Sanders, lolI know this is a bit off topic, but does anyone ever wonder how far Johnny Manziel would have fell if the Browns were not dumb enough to draft him in the 1st round?
I'm not doubting that there is probably is some residual bias. I'm sure there are some out there that still believe stupid things like the idea that an African American isn't capable of playing QB effectively. While I think Prime is on the wrong side of this one, I also don't think Black QBs taken #1 is proof that there isn't some residual bias.
