Why do you always quote and reply to yourself, turd?
It sure was.....unfortunately......I have never heard that about Ditka and commercials. Serious? What is the source?
The 3-point line was new then and its value was under appreciated......however, the real & practical reason was the Trailblazers in 1983 drafted a Shooting Guard in the 1st Rd named Clyde Dexler and didn't need that position filled...hence..drafted a Center. imo... The greatest draft choice ever was Portland taking Dexler, because if they hadn't, MJ would had been a Trailblazer in 1984. Absolutely, positively NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.Sorta like how the NBA used to value centers over wings/guards, which led to Sam Bowie being drafted over Michael Jordan. Could also explain why teams fall in love with guys like Zach Wilson and Trey Lance over Jamarr Chase, Penei Sewell, Micah Parsons and more.

And in 83, the Bulls passed on Drexler for a bum at C if I’m not mistaken
Don't remember who they drafted in '83.......I'll have to look it up.....however I will try NOT to think of it while I think about it...lol... and hope it pops up in my mind sometime today. If not...I'll google it tomorrow....lol. I think they drafted Orlando Woolridge in '81 and (San) Quentin Daily in '82....Both great Offensive players who couldn't guard me right now at my age!!! lol... If one doesn't remember, Jordan hated both of them because they didn't play 'D' and were quickly shipped out within the next year or two.C

Thank you......UNLV thug......Bulls weren't into character of a player in the early '80s.....this guy and (San) Quentin Daily before Jordan.....although Jordan's off court behavior can be questioned.Sidney Green

Great bit of info......I'm sure glad that never happened!Which was short sighted on the Blazers part. Drexler and Jordan could have played together as Drexler could easily have played small forward as Scottie Pippen ended up doing. Both Jordan and Drexler said they could have co-existed when asked this question.
The Blazers were also desperate for a C regardless of the Drexler/Jordan issue. So much so that they offered the Rockets the 2nd pick and Drexler for Ralph Sampson. To me that is the worst trade decline in NBA history as if the Rockets had accepted the offer, they could have drafted the Dream at No 1, Jordan at No 2 and had Drexler. That would have been 3 top 50 players of all time on the same team at around the same age.
I don't have thoughts on that, but this made me laugh in a way that my 7-year-old son would appreciate:Ex-Georgia staffer sues school, Eagles' Carter
Victoria Bowles, who survived the fatal car wreck that killed a University of Georgia football player and recruiting staffer on Jan. 15, has filed a lawsuit against the UGA Athletic Association and Eagles rookie Jalen Carter.www.espn.com
I wonder where in the lawsuit does the plaintiff accept responsibility for getting in the car with someone she knew sped a lot and was drinking heavily that night? Not to say GA or Carter don't also bear responsibility but this reads like she was forced to get in the car with a reckless drunk driver.
Recruiting staff were regularly informed they could leave their personal vehicles overnight at the Butts-Mehre football facility and permissively use Association rental vehicles through a specified cut-off date and time, unrelated to their assigned recruiting activity duties."
Good article...............Moore is the biggest pickup of the offseason. Along with lesser additions like Tonyan, Scott, Forman, Johnson, along with holdovers like Mooney, Kmet, Herbert, even Claypool should be enough weapons to put Fields over the top.2023 Fantasy Football Player Profile: D.J.
