Bob McGinn and Tyler Dunne are about as credible as Sigler. I won't even get into all the hit pieces both have been involved with concerning the Packers and Aaron Rodgers. Learn the history of those 2 clowns.

This is too funny.

Bob is correct that the Packers are extremely high on J-Love, but every single thing Bob McGinn said concerning Aaron and the Packers is 100% bullshit.

The added link to Florio at PFT is a nice touch and more reason to chuckle. Thanks for that.

Have a nice weekend little Bears fans! Stay tuned for real Packers news in the coming weeks. Heres a hint: If it didn't come from inside 1265 Lombardi Avenue.......

Interesting discussion today on ESPN regarding if the Bears should trade Fields.

Herm Edwards - Bears should build around Fields
Bart Scott - Bears should trade Fields as he is already banged up and should restart the clock
Stephen A Smith - Bears should not draft another QB as no QB wants to go to the Bears.
SAS is finally right

I know people are going to hate the Bears signing low cost, high value guys because all the mock offseasons have Payne, McGlinchey, Pocic, Davenport and a bunch of 15-20M/year players. But I don't think the Bears will sign a bunch of guys for big long-term deals. I think they'll sign a couple for sure, if they identify a guy that can be their long-term 3T and if they can find a long-term OL or 2. But they are going to sign a bunch of guys that fit the low cost, short-term description.

In the article, I really like a bunch of those names. A'Shawn Robinson would be a nice NT addition. Cheaper than a guy like Dalvin Tomlinson, but will do his job as a run defender. Still allows you to sign a 3-tech, and even if you draft Jalen Carter on top of that, you have a strong 3-man rotation and allow Carter to develop.

Azeez Al-Shaair is fun. I'd raid the Niners of anyone I could get. They run the offense we should want to replicate and a similar style defense. Al-Shaair is their SAM, but he has played all over when their other guys have been injured. I'd actually like him at the Will. But even if you add another LB in free agency or the draft, you can mix and match the 3 LBs (Shaair, Sanborn, rookie/fa) in the nickel and use them as they are best.

Rankins doesn't do much for me as he's not a real answer at 3T, they'd have to be sure they are going with Carter if signing him. Mack Hollins is fun. He can play some slot, run block and makes some catches over the middle, but I'd like him a lot better without St Brown. McGovern would be fine. I don't really want a high-priced C, so he would work. He's a step up from Patrick but not a true answer. Gesicki is probably not going to happen.

Yeah, I agree with what you said and actually liked the article. I don’t get why people think we should sign Gesecki: he’s not a UTE that blocks. He only catches, so he won’t give what the Bears need inside, size and blocking umption.

Yeah i'm not expecting any of the big names either like D.Payne or O.Brown who will want to be paid in the top 5 of their positions.

The guys on this list are exactly the types i'm expecting but wouldn't surprise me if they signed names like Pocic, McGlinchey, McGary, A.Dillard or a Bradbury for the OL. I think that's where he'll spend his money on guys under the 30 year old mark.

It would be to play the slot for us. I'm 50-50 on signing Gesicki but spending $10+ mil per for him isn't a great idea but i do see how he could help.

There will be something like half a dozen new starters on either side of the ball next year.
I think defense you're right for sure.

DE possibly x 2
DT should be x 2
SAM
Will
CB

Offense, you may only see 5 though

1 WR, RB technically (either Herbert moves to RB1 or thing bring in a new one), LG, C, and RT.

Same. I think they'll be in on Payne, but they'll bow out when the numbers get over 20M per year. Brown, I maintain, is not a fit for the Bears.

McGary is a stud. My only worry about him is the Falcons have the 2nd most cap space, so I don't see anyway they let him go.
