The Watson deal guaranteed money is not a precedent that other owners want to keep going. I doubt any owner will give Lamar a fully guaranteed contract. He will be stuck playing on the tag

The non exclusive tag is only 35 million, and someone will offer him more than that, so, while he might not get what he asks, he will not be stuck playing on the tag, unless he chooses to go the Kirk Cousins route.......

He doesn't have an agent to tell him that though. I believe he will play hardball and try to get that fully guaranteed deal and end up disappointed when no one gives him what he wants

If I were the Commanders I’d think about making a run. Would be their best chance at a franchise QB. They may have to rescind the tag on Payne to afford it but if I were them I’d rather have a real QB.

IDK if he wants fully guaranteed. But he definitely wants more guaranteed than they offered him. I think they offered just over 100M guaranteed. Russell Wilson got 165 guaranteed. Murray and Rodgers also got over 150M guaranteed. I think Lamar would take a 5-year, 250M contract if they guaranteed him 200M of that.

True, but he has a chip on his shoulders when it comes to the Ravens, he might be a little more apt to negotiate with another team, who knows, It only takes one.
