The fact they think that is news is more of an indictment on Pace than anything else. They got so used to the Bears GM locking in on 'his' guys that the beat writers now think it's newsworthy for the Bears GM to be flexible in the draft.

This guy really is a fit for the Bears and works from a value perspective too. If you watched Tennessee, you know he can play. When you read this evaluation, it’s tough to argue he fits like a glove for what the Bears need.
