I just watched more tape on Bijan.

Holy shit. Barring injury, this guy is going to be good.

I get the arguments against a rb high, but damn. RB is like any other position. There are always outliers of course, but you can’t just take another rb in the same galaxy as him in the mid rounds, just like you can’t take another guy like Will Anderson in the mid rounds.

The question is can he transform the offense or defense.

My dream pick is still Carter, but I’m thinking he’s in play at 9 if he’s there.

I understand that would be the plan since they invested heavily in off ball LBs.

My overall point is I don’t think he would thrive there. He is not a pass rush specialist. That is not how he was used. Similar to L. Floyd. Can he develop and become one like Reddick in a few years? Sure, I guess. But that hasn’t been his strength to date.
It would definitely be a big gamble for Poles to take especially at #9. Doesn't mean it can't work but i just don't see them taking that chance. If you're going to take a chance then might as well take that chance on a guy like Van Ness who has perfect size to play DE and 3T.

I get it. For me, his potential lies in other facets of a D.

If I’m taking a DE due to traits and pass rush potential (esp as a 4-3 DE), I’m drafting Van Ness.
Hahaha and there it is.

Can he play tackle?

Nah. There is a good LT, a great RG, a good LG, and we have two, if not 3 answers at C already on the roster, so quit the chicken little shit. We basically need a starting caliber RT. We may already have that with JaTyre Carter. So, a powerful run blocking, road grading RT in the 2nd would be lit, minty fresh goodness.

Bijan is the BEST pick we can get as offensive weapons for Fields is the primary goal.

man, we all understand you like Bijan. But you sweep over all the other roster problems in defense of him, then act like they will all be a disaster without him. It's kind of ridiculous.

shit, it's been what, 20 years since a RB carried a team? More? you way way outta pocket man

I’m not sure. CMC did a pretty good job carrying SF this year. Just saying. Having that would solve a lot of our problems.

We do need a RT. We do need a DE. Another boundary corner would be nice. A 3tech would be sweet.

We can get all of that in the second round or later. We can’t get a talent like Bijan Robinson anywhere else in the draft or FA. He’s the top weapon in the draft. It should be a shoo in.

SF had 2 really good wrs and a good OL too FYI.

Good luck getting all those needs after round 1 and having them all be competent.

Latest intel post has Seattle divided about the pick. It seems to be a power struggle. They also have the Texans taking Wilson! Seriously, what in the living fuck am I missing with that slow off the line walking injury who hasn’t done shit in 5 years but is expected to have upside dude? The fuck?!?

I digress.

Who threw the ball to those WRs? Right. Literally Mr. Irrelevent. It was creative thinking by Shanahan and CMC that drove that team into the playoffs. I’m not sure they have 2 really good WRs. More like one and a half, but chock full of potential. The other is a weapon that moves around a lot and is a YAC monster.

Either way. We have a very good chance of getting ALL of those needs after round 1 and them being more than competent. We don’t need to draft OL in the first. We just don’t.

Don’t mean to sound like a dick here but I can’t wait until the draft is over so I don’t have to read you blathering about a RB in the top 10 in the year 2023 ever again.

Whoever the pick is, I just want it to be on the offensive side of the ball. Last I checked both KC and Philly had very good D’s and they still combined for 73 points in the SB. I don’t care how good your defense is, you’re not winning shit unless you have a QB and offense that can put up points.
