You don't get Lewis to pass to him. You get him to add better blocking at the TE position. Both he and Tonyan are 1 year signings so nothing indicative of what the Bears want to do moving forward. For now, I think they just want a more balanced attack. Better blocking from the TE position can aid both the run and pass game.
