Yeah it isn't the first time. I'm not really trying to convince anyone, and I don't make money writing about my Bears thoughts, so I don't see the need to give any sort of break down. Personally, I think this team still would benefit from a real game changer at 3T, and so Dexter would naturally find a role opposite that.Because you keep repeating the same narrative with no evidence to back it up.
This isn't the time you've insisted he's a 1 technique.
He lined up in several alignments at DT throughout the year, including 1. If you rewatch the Atlanta game, you'd see that he had a big game playing as 1, 3, and as a wide-set 5, so I don't really think he's limited to just 1T. I just see that that role is his very high floor for the team. [EDIT to correct] I started rewatching his highlights against the Falcons, and I believe that I was recalling certain plays as 5T, where he was lining up directly over the tackle as a 4.
