The Cubs could trade Fonzie, if they pay most of his contract. If I was Rickett, I would trade him and 75-85% of his contract. Give all the money up front and you'll see a decrease in the payroll.

Rockies to sign Berkman. Maybe a Pena signing for the Cubs at the WM. Their losing options fast.

Teams have had interest in Soriano. It's no surprise. But, will the Cubs eat majorty of his contract? No so it won't happen.

You say that everyone will waive their NTC to go to Boston, Rami, Sori, etc.

They will. I mean who wouldn't? Big payroll, will spend, playoff team, will trade for players to win, etc.

Ken Rosenthal: Cubs still in mix for Berkman, Pena still a possibility. Cubs want LH 1B. I think Pena is a better fit.

Also, Pena should come cheaper. Berkman looking for 8-10M a year.

With FA's signing faster than in years past, we could see this move faster that we would ever thought.

JH is going into the WM and will like to come out with a !B and pitching. That's his wish list.

Undisclosed teams..

There were 2 or 3 that were/are interested.

The host guessed that there were 2 AL and 1 NL

Who knows...the Rockies are open to signing him to play OF and the A's will sign him to DH and OF. I think the A's are the best fit.
