I'm interested in this workout...website or something?

Yeah I'll post the link. I went into the gym in my town and talked to the owner. He used to be a bodybuilder and is also the head doctor in our town. Anyways, I asked him about weight free upper body workouts. He went to his computer and printed off this article from Men's Health. Says it's an 8 week program. Step 1 is weeks 1 & 2, Step 2 is weeks 3,4,5 & 6, Step 3 is week 7 & 8. I'll let you read the rest of it if you're interested.

Weight-Free Upper-Body Workout | Men's Health

Page 1 talks about the program and the next 3 pages are the three steps.

Not everybody has the time or money to spend on a gym. Especially when all my money is going towards EIU. Consistent weight-free home workouts are a fine alternative to a gym. Nothing beats free weights, everybody knows that. But when you don't own any or can't get to a gym all the time, push ups, sit ups and pull ups at home are great alternatives.

EDIT: and when I say alternative I don't mean "replacement". I mean "the next option".

I'm transferring to EIU in the fall so I'm still at home right now, but they're taking all my money already with down payments and stuff. Will be a 22 year old soph/junior next year so hopefully I'll get time to utilize their facilities for a few years before graduation.

Well, I do karate twice a week on Monday & Thursday but they're private lessons as I just started doing it about 3 years ago.

But, my instructors have made me do the same things i'd do at a gym outside some stuff. (no treadmill, stationary bike...etc.)

Plus, none of them guys go to a gym. They stay in shape at home or when they're at the work place.

Working on my abs & getting my thighs to lose some fat.

I'll be in great shape soon. Just have to find a way to eat better.

Anybody ever do towel curls with a weight? I don't have weights at my house, but living on a farm, there's a large abundance of cinder blocks. Did some towel curls tonight with a 40lb cinder block. My pull up bar broke so this is my only option for my biceps right now.

I've lost about 7 pounds so far. I had to join this thing called "Naturally Slim" to get a discount from my wife's insurance. I need to lose far more, but for now it's just a change in the way I eat. Basically, they teach you to only eat when you're truly hungry and to eat slowly to give yourself time to realize you're full. "It's not what you eat, but when and how you eat."

I've been pretty busy lately so I haven't been going to the gym, but I've still been slowly losing about a pound or two a week just eating less.

a few months..

Just be patient and keep going even if you have a bad day.

---

btw I actually weigh myself every day.. I know about of people that say not to.. but here's what I figure..

If you weigh yourself once a week.. and you didn't lose any weight.. It's a hell of a lot easier to say "To hell with it, I ate well all week and didn't lose any weight."

That's why I weigh myself everyday.. Its instant gratification. If I lose weight even if its .2 lb a day.. I'm losing weight.

Usually with that method you'll also learn quite a bit more about what your food/drink intake does on a day to day basis.. Sure there are always gonna be days that are WTF.. how did I gain weight?!?! but there are usually good reasons and your body is telling you.

I used to do the whole check the scale thing everyday. But now im more about what i see. The scale is so deceiving. Frequent BF tests are the way to go if you know someone who can do it for free.

When i got to the gym yesterday to work back, i realized my gloves werent in my car. I realized that i left it in the gym the night night before and hoped no one would steal them. So when i step inside i start to look around and i see this Justin Bieber, prep school bball player looking kid wearing my gloves. The dummy kept wraping the wrist straps around the weights like they were lifting straps. I must have watched him wrap em around the dumbells 3 or 4 times before i went over to him and said that they were meant to go around your wrists. He says "Oh really" kind of like a smart ass and i said "Yeah, i know because those are my gloves, i left them here last night.". Kid started to blush and got all nervous, he must have thought i was going to kill him. Told him to use them for a few sets and see if he likes them so he could buy his own....Anyways im the biggest person at my gym, muscular wise and thats pretty pathetic.
