I played QB most of my life, and when I quit playing in College despite a couple scholarship offers for Division 2 schools.....I put on some weight. Combination of smoking pot, drinking, enjoying life, etc.

When I quit playing college ball I was 220-225. Right now I probably weight 250. I am 6'2'' so I carry my weight well. After my trip to the state fair friday night, I am going to get into serious football mode so I can start playing in a serious competitive flag football league with my brother (website, stats, highlights, etc).

Anyway I'll be in this thread a lot documenting my trip to rex grossman mode.

sugar pop is the worst for you one, drink diet if you can. i hated it at first but got used to it.

remember folks, even if you are in shape you have to watch the cholesterol.

There's really no good way. You really almost have to go cold turkey. Just get rid of it and drink water instead. That's what I'm doing and it's sort of working, although I could really go for a diet coke right now... And coffee and tea raises your metabolism, so a cup or two of that a day won't hurt either.

Depending on your height you may not have to lose that much..

If you are looking at basically just going cold turkey.. Find a good whole foods store.. Get some good quality meat, pasta, vegs, fruit..

It may cost a little more than buying bags of candy and chips all the time.. It will help though..

I'd recommend not buying meat at stores like walmart/target.. That meat generally isn't the same quality you can find at a jewel..

I've been weightlifting for almost 3 months in a few weeks I think or maybe a couple(I'm about 6 ft but im a tall skinny kid,last time I checked I was 140). Only thing that's killing it for me now is being lazy once and awhile and now these cysts in my wrists. Especially one in my left wrist now since just tweaking it a certain way a little bit will bring me really bad pain so im going again next week for about the 2nd time for my left wrist to see if he can drain it and the third time for my right wrist. That and I have to find out what is wrong with my shoulder since it hurts when I bench or whatever else(i had an mri so i just have to give the doc the photos to find out whats wrong) I just have to stick to it pretty much. I'm getting more defined and can lift more even though im pretty weak but I just have to stick to it,I realize it'll take time.

So over the past 2 weeks I've probably lost around 8-10 lbs. The changes I've seen in my face and stomach is awesome. Also my endurance is picking up by doing cardio almost every day.

I've completely cut out soda and eating bad. Trying to have 3 meals with snacks in between each to keep energy, etc. I've been doing 10-20 minutes of cardio + ab workout + some arm workouts. It's been working pretty well, as it's only been 2 weeks and I can "see" changes.

I've been almost living off Turkey and Grilled Chicken.

hell yeah bro. same here, i love grilled chicken. are you just buying the bags already marinaded and shit or are you doing all that work yourself?

ive lost just about 25 pounds in 6 weeks so far. since august i think ive lost close to 40 pounds.

its seriously is 80% diet and 20% exercise.

I don't eat a lot and I get shit at work all the time. This one person told me something and it got me thinking, and it's driving me nuts. I have to talk to her now and tell her what she got stuck in my mind.

I eat, then go outside. So, I don't gain weight. I eat a lot sometimes and I don't gain weight. I'm very hungry and when I eat, I get full so fast. So, in all honest, I don't know what to do, haha.
