So you wanted him to file a lawsuit without stating his claims?

He didnt claim Lovie was 2nd rate. If Lovie was always a part of the coaching search then that would be one thing but they have been searching for a coach for what like a month and somehow the guy that has been in the building all season gets a last minute invite and the job.

So not questioning Lovie's ability or credentials. He is questioning why Lovie appeared out of nowhere really as a candidate.

Discovery is going to be interesting in this instance if Lovie's name didnt come up until after the lawsuit and if they are communications nixing McCown because of the lawsuit.

Flores is a loser. He knows he's a second rate coach and he's trying to blackmail NFL teams into giving him a job. It's no wonder no team wants to hire this douchebag.

I hope they really really really figure some shit out and get lucky af. I want Fields to have some damn weapons.
They possibly could get another good receiver, but the depth is going to be journeymen and practice squad dudes.

Sure but again that is why you do your due diligence. You are getting paid millions to figure this shit out.
Easier said than done. Every team has a team doctor, but most teams do not have a team psychiatrist.

Players will go to their own psychiatrists and that means that there is a patient doctor relationship, meaning Poles cannot get information about a patients mental health from him.

They will be dealing with incomplete information no matter how many millions Poles gets paid.

Now Poles may ask a psychiatrist to do the porno test (You know ... person, man, woman, camera, tv) but that won't really give a clear picture of a person's mental health.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Real Salt Lake
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Utah Jazz
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Utah Utes

Journeyman might be right. Curious if Poles sees the value of WRs coming off of injury (depends on severity), or if he bargain shops some. Curious on the price tag for Godwin, Chark, Kirk, and others. I think adding Kirk and London (draft) to pair with Mooney would be a fun enough group to get the job done. Would love Watson in the draft but he is going to sky rocket, and Poles might look for OL help on draft as well.

Newsome is there, but who knows. Curious if Goodwin is retained for some speed as well. That is definitely journeyman territory.

This is a joke right?
No joke.

George Halas .720+
Ralph Jones .706
Hunk Anderson .676
Luke Johnsos .676
Mike Ditka .631
Paddy Driscoll .609
Lovie Smith .563
Matt Nagy .523

These are the winning percentages (Halas was split in 4 coaching stints and I didn't calculate the total) of all Bear coaches with a winning percentage in Bears HISTORY.

Since you stated that Lovie was the third best Bears coach in Bears history, I just corrected you.

Or are you suddenly going to rank head coaches on something that is not wins and losses?

You can’t compare those ancient coaches to modern times based solely on win%. No salary cap, like 10 teams etc. Longevity comes into play as well.

Halas
Ditka
Lovie

If Flores was worried about publicity he could have his lawyers redact part of the lawsuit so it would not be in the public eye or only sue for specific things that would not compromise private communications.
He also filed on the first day of Black history month which sounds like a publicity stunt a couple of white lawyers would come up with.
It looks more like a publicity stunt than a serious lawsuit.

That's why teams are probably not going to touch him.

If I were an owner I wouldn't either. He's not that great of a coach to overcome how he handled the presenting of the lawsuit.

Lol about redact or compromise private communications. Not sure the former is allowed and you want him to damage his own case to make you feel better about it.

In any case, you are just proving his point. Again it is obvious Lovie was a last minute add on because the lawsuit made Flores and McCown untenable. I am not saying teams should touch him. I am saying he is right about why Lovie was hired and you all but admitted above.

Simple question, why did they wait until a day ago to interview Lovie? Do you honestly think Lovie was in the running before the lawsuit?

Yep mocked him to the Bears. Think his upside is better than KJ as he projects to be far more dynamic with the ball in his hands.
Do you think he could carry the ball from the FB position? Could he handle the lead back duties of the I formation?

I’ve been leaning towards Heyward out of MS for FB, but could be dissuaded.

Lovie was with the team last year. Its not someone they just pulled out of their ass from left field.

You can seal a lawsuit. Its hard to do but you can. Its easier to redact parts of it so only the court can see it. Flores lawyers turned it into a publicity stunt.
