I don't think his 10/5 will matter all that much, he's in the last year of his deal and he's getting paid regardless, so there's little point to staying on a shitty team. Though that's assuming that teams that want him will be in the hunt, as I doubt he'd want to go to Oakland or any other tweener team.

I honestly dont believe he'll be gone until the end of the season.. but im not really a fan of bringing flowers up right away.... so our catching situation is iffy for next year.....

Yeah there's not much, Flowers has regressed substantially as a hitter, Donny Lucy promptly went back to sucking once he got to AAA, and Jason Bour is 23 and only in high-A. Add in that the free agent (OH NOEZ) market for catchers this upcoming off-season is looking pretty bad (Victor Martinez and Miguel Olivo are the only possible highlights), and you have yourself a problem if you're the Sox.

I don't know about substantially. He's still hitting for a boatload of power, more so than last year. So far he has a .250/.343/.463 line in 313 AAA PA's, so I'm definitely not going to say his prospect status has dropped a ton. And he's doing it in a slight pitchers league.

That's true, but he's already 24, an advanced age for a prospect hoping to have a significant MLB career. And IIRC, isn't the Knights' home ballpark a power-hitter's savior? I don't know, I've never seen it.

Not sure, but here are the league stats for the International League: .259/.328/.401 and a 4.06 ERA.

Yeah the league as a whole is a pitcher's league (or at least, not a hitter's league), but I've been told that the Knights' ballpark is a postage stamp like US Cellular

I just don't see any team willing to give the WS any decent prospects for what ever expiring contracts we have that are available in trade as far as vets are concerned, The team as a whole has been shit and doesn't look like its going to get any better. Our vets are not top tier v ets so there is no real market for them. I think were up the proverbial shits creek without a paddle and the boat has a huge hole in it! Somebody save me!!!

If this team is ever going to win we need CQ to be a .850+ OPS player. Selling this low on him would be the absolute stupidest thing we could do.

PK, AJ, Jenks, Jones, Putz and Thornton should be shopped for prospects.

And the rotation should be kept intact.

and keep the Starting pitching in tact? Why/ What good would that do with no bullpen to speak ofwhat we need to do is totally wreck this ship and build a new one from the bottom up with young hungry talent and it does work just peek over to the AL East and see who's at the top there with young talent and not much of a money on the line as we do with this band of misfits!
