I still think Tennessee gets in provided they win out. There will be chaos in these last 3 weeks.

The margin of victory matters and Penn State has blown everyone out of the water. Their only loss came to Ohio state by 1 score. Also, I would not sleep on Kansas. If they beat Colorado in Kansas then they will have won 3 in a row. We should get a good gauge on the CFP rankings when the Coaches and AP polls come out in a few hours.
Penn State vs Illinois was a 7 point game with a couple minutes to play. And that was with Illinois failing to score on first and goal from the two. Not close to being blown out of the water.

Yeah, the math projections still give them really good odds to make it. They just need to take care of their business and let the chips fall where they may

Colorado looks like thry arent going anywhere anytime soon.
lol suuuuuuure, till Deion jets in another year or two for greener pastures and after his sons are done playing college ball

His sons are done after this year so assume he gave assurances to Lewis he was sticking around. In any event yes things can change if Deoin leaves but it is clear he has turned the program around after many were making fun of him last year and to start the year.

lol colorado hasnt played or beaten anyone worth a damn. losing to Nebraska lmao. people can still make fun of Deion for the same reasons they have been

and deion wouldnt be the first HC to tell a recruit hes going to be around a long time, only to jet elsewhere. He can take Lewis with him when he leaves, just like he did with his son and travis hunter from Jackson State.

TBH, Deion leaving Jackson State was a travesty. He should have stayed there and built them into a powerhouse. He was convincing 4 and 5 stars to go to Jackson freaking State. It really crushed a lot of HBCU supporters when he left

They still have a shot at the college playoff which is all that matters.

Maybe he leaves, maybe he doesnt but will cross that bridge when he leaves.

Maybe so but still better than being a 4 win team last year.

Quite the bar that you’ve set for Deion!

Colorado was a trash program before he arrived so pretty sure they are happy being in college playoff contention in just his 2nd season.

Of course they are. But again, they aren’t really one of the top 12 teams. They are just fortunate that their conference gets 1 auto bid and that they haven’t played anyone good

Their conference doesnt get an auto-bid. Has to be one of the 5 highest ranked conference champs. So Big Ten, SEC and ACC pretty likely to be 3 of them given where their top contenders ranked.

Mountain West, Big 12, and AAC likely fighting for last 2.

Riiiight. Like I said, Big12 basically gets an auto bid. Name 5 conferences better than the big 12 despite them being mediocre at best

Imagine going 1-12 in an actual conference, then going 8-2 in a fake conference. Not really an apples to apples comparison, especially when you lose big to a Nebraska team that's 2-5 in an actual conference.

No that isnt what you said. If Boise State wins out then they will be the 4th conference and if Army beats No 9 ND and then beats No 20 Tulane they could finish ahead of the Big 12 Champion especially if said Big 12 Champion isnt BYU or CO but rather ASU or ISU who are currently ranked behind Army and Tulane.

So not automatic at all.

You do know what the word basically is, right??

And so your defense of Colorado is that their conference is so trash that they might not beat out the American conference champion for the auto spot?? Thanks for proving my point that Colorado doesn’t really belong

Colorado would be great to have in it even if they don’t deserve it. I’m ambivalent on Deion, some of it annoys me and some of it is genuinely fun, but he adds an element for sure.

But they should not get a bye, which is looking distinctly possible right now. That’s a flaw in the system that should be addressed, it should just be the best four teams in the country getting byes. I think it’d be a lot of fun to have teams like Army, Boise State, Colorado involved in the first round but a two-loss Colorado team getting a free ticket to the quarterfinals while two-loss SEC teams get left out in the cold all together? Yuck.

I understand your point, but giving the conference winners that bye is really the only objective way you could do it. Beyond that they had to throw a bone to Big 12 and ACC teams who are more likely to have a down year conference wide than the SEC.
