Colorado looks like thry arent going anywhere anytime soon.
Well this year with the #1 qb and another player who is the Heismann favorite the Buffs have been able to beat bad teams. Maybe they’ll keep it up.

Have they beaten any teams that are actually good? I know they got murdered by Nebraska team that’s fighting to finish 500.

No my defenze of Colorado is they are 8-2 and they are ranked 16. Your personal opinion about what they deserve is irrelevant.
Colorado has an eight and two record and has beaten nobody. And their losses are not too great teams.

Illinois on the other hand, the team I root for but a team I do not believe should be ranked highly, has a seven and three record, and two of their losses are on the road versus top four teams.

If Dieon was coaching, Illinois and Bielema was coaching Colorado, Illinois would be getting the love not the buffaloes. It’s all fucking hype.

agreed. if indiana gets dog walked by OSU this weekend, their playoff hopes may vanish. yet, colorado who also hasnt played anyone but lost to that bad nebraska team, could get in with 2 losses

make it make sense lol
Hmm why is remy not this way about Army? Or BYU? Or SMU? What is it about Colorado that gets him so excited?

Can you imagine the insufferable outcry if Colorado goes 11-2 but misses the playoff?

ASU has to beat BYU at home this weekend to be in that conversation and Colorado better not be overlooking Kansas.

If both Colorado and ASU win out they'll face off in the Big-12 title game. If you win the Big-12 you get in. Colorado needs to do that first.
But they're on the road against a Kansas team that just beat BYU. One thing at a time.

lmao so any team 8-2 is qualified? they have not played anyone...you havent even tried to attempt to address that issue.

I addressed the issue by nothing they are ranked 16th. The rankings take into account who you play.

Are you new to college football?

OK but Colorado is not one of the twelve best teams in the country and really it’s not close.

We already covered the fact it isnt about the 12 best teams. If you want an auto bid then win your conference. If your conference is difficult then tough shit.

Illinois is 7th in their conference. CO is tied for 1st in theirs and will likely play a ranked team in the Championship. So CO is getting some love because they are atop their conference.

Indiana is currently +9.5. I’ll check in the morning, but I’m a believer. Not sure if I’m going to take the money line, but I think they cover.

Try to read. I already said the ACC champ is likely one of the top 3 conferences as if Miami, SMU or Clemson win it they probably are ranked in the top 12.

I also already said if Army beats ND and Tulane then they likely leapfrog the big 12 winner as the 5th guaranteed bid.

BYU is in the same situation as CO.

There’s not a perfect system. I’m still pissed the 13-1 UGA team didn’t make the playoffs in ‘23. Then they dog-walked FSU in the Orange Bowl 63-3. Not only do I think they were one of the top 4 best teams, I think they were THE best team and would’ve beaten any of those 4 teams in the playoffs if given the chance.

If Colorado gets in, they will be ceremoniously dismissed by any team they face in the first round.

I disagree, Georgia vs Michigan would have been a tilt. If they played 10 times, they likely split 5-5. Michigan was not your typical Big10Team. They pushed Bama all around the field, if they didn’t keep f’ing up, then that game is likely a 14pt win for Michigan.

Eh, I don’t know. No disrespect at all to Michigan. That was a real good team. I think UGA handles them if they had played. 7 or 8 times out of 10. I wish the expanded playoffs were in place that year. That would’ve been fun as hell to watch.

I thought that too until I watched them abuse Alabama. They were just faster and more physical which was a complete shock to me.

I think Bama came out flat. Part of that was Michigan, and part was just due to them having an off-night, imo. Again, not making excuses and no disrespect to Michigan. UGA had an off day when they played Bama. It happens.

You could be right, but I just think UGA had the better team. Would’ve been a helluva matchup, though.

The rankings absolutely do not take into account who you played. See Indiana or Colorado as an example.

The rankings voted on by riders or coaches who don’t watch every team because they’re watching their own, taking into account the name on the uniform. Thus Nebraska was in the top 25 as soon as they went 2-0.

Notre Dame is consistently ranked higher than any other team with their record, talent, and results on the field would be, year in year out.

Gee and 16th isn’t top 12

You new to numbers??

They have played nobody and don’t deserve to be in the playoff
