Being able to run away from the pocket after not being able to figure out who was going to be open or see who is open will turn some negative plays into positive ones. But they don't make every athletic dude into a truly good NFL QB.

Apparently Chris Ballard wasn't aware of this when he decided to draft Richardson.

Fields was the top option for both Pittsburgh and the Jets.

Getsy and Eberflus have both been fired and Poles has been finally addressing the OL with actual talent now that he has a coach worth a damn.

The Bears failed Justin and Caleb more than Caleb and Justin failed the Bears and I think both dudes are going to ball out next year.
Facts 💯.

I would only add that Poles finally hired a competent coach and seriously addressed the OL because his job is now on the line.

I don’t get how he still has a job.

“The Steelers have worked on getting a Justin Fields contract done, and this is one that’ll likely come down to money and opportunity. The Jets are lurking. Meanwhile, if Darnold leaves Minnesota, Daniel Jones could return there as insurance for J.J. McCarthy, who is coming back from a torn meniscus. But Jones could also wind up going to the Indianapolis Colts to compete with Anthony Richardson for the starting quarterback job.”

No one ever moved from the Steelers to the Jets for a better opportunity. Best thing for him would be to stay put with the same offense, the same HoF head coach, the same franchise stability.

Actually I somewhat agree, as my preference would be for him to stay in Pittsburgh, even for less money. I believe the Jets are not the old Jets though. They have a solid team that Justin can be successful with, especially considering the new HC reportedly wants him pretty badly. Coach Glenn must’ve been very impressed with Justin as a Bear while he was the Lions DC.

Steelers fans are some passionate dudes. For such a small city, that fan base is large and rabid. But what I noticed is they are pretty smart too... they know football. Anyhow, there was one guy on there that clearly wants Justin back but he could not understand why Justin would not take a "prove it deal" or simply sign for less.

This is what I wrote:
Why does the money matter?? Because if Justin signs for 10 Mil but they pick up another QB for 20 Mil --- the thought goes, the guy that they paid more should be the Starter. Or, if another guy is not added at a higher amount, but if they get Justin on the cheap, because there is hardly any financial investment in him, it would be real easy to bench him. Bottom line - the money matters because it shows A LEVEL OF COMMITMENT to make him the Starter.... and it makes it more difficult to bench him.

Tomorrow fellas.... will end all the speculation I believe. I am thinking Jets.

This will be his year..... and Caleb's year too --- both dem boys gonna shine!!!

Maybe Fields should talk to Thomas Jones, Forte, Leveon, and LT about going to the Jets.

Nothing good happens going there.

Fields wants QB1 assurance. If reports are true that the Steelers are playing a little bit of hardball, then that is pretty good sign that he should test the market/go elsewhere.
Fields is going to have a short leash wherever he goes, even if he starts out as QB1. I think the dilemma is that the Jets will give him more money but Pittsburgh is the better landing spot and could get him a bigger future contract. So, if Justin believes in his ability he'll sign with the Steelers....if he's just trying to get one more paycheck, he'll sign with the Jets

Paycheck > Belief. He should go where he gets a chance to start AND earns the most guaranteed money. Sounds like that's the Jets.

This absolutely.

Justin isn't special. He isn't going to magically have a light bulb go off. This is his last chance at big money. He needs to grab the bag. After this it's backup type money till his career ends.

He seems like a great guy and it would be awesome If I was wrong.

Yeah, I’m sure everything will be different with the Jets franchise because they got a coach no one else wanted. Super Bowl, baby!!

For a piece published Tuesday, Jets/NFL insider Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic shared why he believes Gang Green will end up with Fields later this month.

Lol Justin Fields winding up with the worst organization in the NFL for QB development will be most ironic signing ever.

Justin couldn't handle the pressure of Chicago it will be even worse in New York.
