Justin couldn't handle the pressure of Chicago it will be even worse in New York.
This is not true. He handled himself like a professional while in Chicago, and was loved by all of his teammates.

He was the first player in and out of the building, never threw his garbage teammates under the bus, and the only time he caused any type of controversy is when he told the world how clueless Flus and Getsy were. He was pummeled by the Chicago sports media and some of their national sports media buddies, but Justin Fields was absolutely telling the truth considering they both were fired in the middle of their following seasons (Getsy was fired twice). He’s also never crashed out after that controversy hit, nor did he when Getsy leaked those BS talking points to Chris Collinsworth before that national televised game when the announcers were talking about Fields can learn from watching Bagent.

He’s also handled himself like a professional while in Pittsburgh, which is one of the positives being spoken about him throughout this offseason.

Lol all those alleged intangibles and he's still the worst QB to start more than 5 games for the Chicago Bears in 40 years.

Any competent NFL front office understands the situation that he had to overcome in Chicago (GM and HC fired his 1st year, New GM and HC purposely tank his 2nd year, Flus and Getsy doing a terrible job coaching him his 3rd season).

I’m certain his agent will remind them during negotiations.

Again he was benched for a washed up Russell Wilson. In his 6 starts the Steelers were last in passing touchdowns in the NFL.

There is no evidence he will ever be a successful starting QB in the NFL. He went to Pittsburgh and promptly picked up where he left off being the failure he was in Chicago.

Why you still have this much love and admiration and hope for him is beyond comprehension.

Russ was promised the starting position, which is why he chose to sign in Pittsburgh over other suitors.

I’m not showing any “love and admiration and hope” for anyone, I’m simply correcting the lies that you’re typing. That’s all.

No one ever moved from the Steelers to the Jets for a better opportunity. Best thing for him would be to stay put with the same offense, the same HoF head coach, the same franchise stability.
Steelers have been anything but stable at QB since Big Ben retired.

If Glenn is bought in on Fields - the age of the core of that team fits him better than the Steelers and their offensive talent is significantly better than the Steelers.

Rick Mirer was worse.
I had to look this up, but Mirer only started 3 games for the Bears before the plug was pulled. I remember the Bears acquiring Mirer, but I don't really remember seeing him play.

I wonder if this is a negotiation ploy with Justin and Russ, or are they really serious. Supposedly they were hoping not to break the bank on any quarterback. They would have to spend way more for Darnold than they would for the other two guys.
I'm guessing that the Darnold deal won't really be breaking the bank, either.

This might be the match that finally ignites the Fire Tomlin campaign. They might have to beg Russell to come back at this point.
The only match for the Fire Tomlin campaign so far has been Kap & Hood.

Lol Justin Fields winding up with the worst organization in the NFL for QB development will be most ironic signing ever.

Justin couldn't handle the pressure of Chicago it will be even worse in New York.
Justin has weaknesses in his game, to be sure.

But I never saw anything to indicate he "couldn't handle the pressure of Chicago".

Steelers wanted nothing to do with Russ and good on Fields and his team for not being pressured by it - if they're looking at Darnold they're scrambling because that means they're either not a landing spot for Rodgers or not interested in him.
