Have they proven the child was his? Last word I saw was no.
Like there is a bad time to kill a bad girlfriend?
If he files grievance against the NFL, it is possible that he could still enter the supplemental draft.
If he does enter, what round would you draft him? Remember, if you are granted him, you have to give up that round the next year. So if we took him round 1, we would lose next years 1st round pick. We wouldn't go that high obviously.
To file a "grievance" against the NFL he has to be a member of the NFLPA and he is NOT!!!!!If he files grievance against the NFL, it is possible that he could still enter the supplemental draft.

Sounds like a Rae Caruth type thing.
Very tough precedent to set. They do this for Collins, what is to stop a guy next year for whatever reason? The NFL should have let him remove his name from the draft. If there ever was a situation with extenuating circumstances this was it.
The rules revolving around the draft are part of the collective bargaining agreement. They just cant make exceptionsVery tough precedent to set. They do this for Collins, what is to stop a guy next year for whatever reason?

Thanks for repeating what I already wroteThere is zero chance he get to the supplemental draft. There are rules that have to happen for him to eligible for it and he did not meet them. The commissioner cannot change the rules either, his hands are tied. They would have to go through the whole collective bargaining agreement for the rules to be changed.
That is not going to happen for one unfortunate person.
If I were him, I would only sign a 1 year prove it (his innocence) deal, then get a new contract for close to what I am worth.
What would removing his name from the draft accomplished? Serious question. He would still be a UDFA either way, right?
If he has nothing to do with the murder he'll get what should be a late frist round contract. That's decent money that will change his family's life. .
