no, but you made it sound like an offense can’t be great and compete for Super Bowls with a star wide receiver and a star running back catching a lot of passes
Of course they can compete. Ive talked about several times in this thread about winning Super Bowls.

Colston was a fucking stud. Pierre Thomas was a fine RB as well as Bush. Also had Shockey as well. You'd be a fool to take the Saints offensive lineup over that 2009 team. Were Thomas & Kamara better than their best 2? Of course. Have the current Saints teams had better depth than the 2009 team? Fuck no. Not even close.

dude, now you’re just being silly. Colston had 70 catches that year. He was a good receiver, but not a “stud.” Meanwhile, Thomas breaks receiving records. Bush was kamara super light, and the fact you’re bringing up Pierre Thomas is telling. The saints have had some solid other running backs paired with kamara over the years. I didn’t feel they were worth bringing up because kamara and Thomas are so much better than that 2009 squad offensively.

well even then, his defense picked Brady off 3 times in the NFFCG. he had every chance to take that game and run away with it, and simply didn’t.

you telling me he’s completely blame free??
Of course he’s not completely blame free, but he’s not the reason they lost the game. The “great” o line gave up 5 sacks. The “great” Jones fumbled twice while losing 1. We don’t have to discuss the LaFleur FG decision.

so you’re posturing that you’d rather have colston, bush, and company over Thomas and kamara for weapons around brees?! Yeah, I sure “self owned” myself

I bet a second legitimate receiver would have made more of a difference than Jordan love or another cb then huh?
well no, a legit CB wouldn’t have gotten burnt like toast the way kevin king did

did you not watch the fourth quarter?

I think he just stated that it was a different era. A different game of football compared to what it is now.

discuss the FG decision. did rodgers not air mall the third down throw? i would have kept the ball in rodgers hand but it’s not like he wasn’t given a chance to win the game.

the reason he lost the game was Kevin King getting burnt, but the game still shouldn’t have been close enough for it to come close to any one play. that’s on rodgers.

King got burnt right before halftime. They had 3 picks though and the offense couldn't get going. Seems like maybe another weapon could have helped. I do know love didn't help any.

I think Rodgers is a whiner too, but I think both sides own some culpability here

Which one won the SB? While the other was being dangled in trades all season and also got a team suspension? You might want to stop now. I guess records is more important to you than winning the SB, which is the goal of every team. You know this right?

i agree both sides are at fault here.

rodgers is mad they aren’t winning with him at the center of attention

green bay is stupid and deserves all the shit they get for taking Love in the first round.

Rogers is right, sports center back then was so rewatchable . It used to play on a loop in my house back in the day. Ken's mic drop moment at the end was awesome.

You might be the only NFL fan who would blame that game on Rodgers.
