I doubt the Bears game that day (SHOULD it happen) would be conflicting with the Hawks/Philly game, so I'd not be worried about it.

It will likely happen sometime during the night, around 7pm, prime time or so for network television. Remember, there will be two championship games and likely the first one will be at 3:00 pm or so. I've hardly ever seen championship games around 12 noon, so I'm sure that tradition will continue, thanks to television.

It may cut some time through the Hawks game, but at least you'd still be able to make both games.

NFC has 3:00 pm start and AFC has 6:30 start this year.

The NFC championship could be at Atlanta too. If that is the case you won't have to worry about the 23rd. I had a kind of similar situation of course I don't actually go to the games. But the my team the Rams were playing the Seahawks last week in that play-in game. The Hawks were playing the Ducks at the same time. I have to admit I watched more of the Rams game. It was a nice dilemma to have because the Rams normally suck hard.

As the only other known Rams fan on earth, I had the same dilemma. The thumb got a work out that day.

Looks like the Bears game is now on Saturday 1/15 so that makes attending the 1/16 Hawks game easier. But 1/23 is still the issue. Even if it's in Atlanta, there's still a problem in that I want to see both games. Others here too will face the same situation - I don't think everyone has thought about it yet.

Heard it on the radio last night. But you are correct, it is Sunday 1/16 at noon our time. Not sure if the game was originally Saturday and then moved or if the radio got it wrong. But you're right - it is indeed Sunday.

Bears are one and done. Don't worry about the next Sunday.

If they do beat the Seattle Saints or the Green Bay Seahawks or whatever, they will be done on the 23rd.

In terms of this thread, 2 key matchups taking place on the same day with possible crossover of game times. Which one to watch, which one to attend if you can't do both. Two choices, which one to choose - that's the dilemma.

I don't see how it's possible without being late for the Bears game. Hawks game will run from 11:40am-2:30pm. Bears game at 3pm. Time leaving the UC, traffic, and getting over to Soldier Field, parking, then walking. Will probably be late.
