First Bears playoff game will be on Sunday 1/16 at Soldier Field. If Bears advance to the NFC Conference game it would be the following Sunday 1/23. It turns out the Hawks are playing Nashville at home at 6pm on 1/16, and the matchup we've all been waiting for Philadelphia at home at 3pm on 1/23. Tough situation. I want to see both but if I go to the Hawks games I will miss the football games. Only way to see both would be television at home it seems. Thought it would be a good discussion item for the board here to see how everyone else is handling it. What will you do?

In that situation. Go to the Bears games, DVR the hawks games. First off Bears are in the playoffs, it is win or go home and it is a lot more exciting than a regular season game or any sport. Second, the hawks have basically looked like ass the majority of the season if not all season, the bears sure they've had a horseshoe wedged up their collective ass but at least they are winning.

Yeah Fluff go see the Bears play. If it was Blackhawk playoff hockey then I'd say the Hawks without much of a second thought but it is regular season hockey that isn't terribly exciting or entertaining.

The Philly game has been moved to 11:30am. I think that will only make the conflict worse.

Wait, do you actually have tickets to both, or is this "going to the hawks game" vs. "Watching the bears on TV"?

I have tickets to both sets of games - Bears and Hawks. The 1/16 game is a little easier to work with cause Hawks are only playing Nashville, but I still wanted to go to the Hawks game. Wife said it wouldn't be possible to do both. So we are thinking go to Bears game on 1/16 then watch remainder of Hawks game on TV.

For the 1/23 game, this was the ONE game on the Hawks schedule more than any other all year I was looking forward to - seeing Philly again. But....this would also be the Bears NFC championship game if they make it here. So this is a tough one.

Well, if you have tickets to both, then you go to the playoff games, it's that simple. And I wouldn't worry about the 1/23 Bear's game... HIYO.

The NFC championship could be at Atlanta too. If that is the case you won't have to worry about the 23rd. I had a kind of similar situation of course I don't actually go to the games. But the my team the Rams were playing the Seahawks last week in that play-in game. The Hawks were playing the Ducks at the same time. I have to admit I watched more of the Rams game. It was a nice dilemma to have because the Rams normally suck hard.

I doubt the Bears game that day (SHOULD it happen) would be conflicting with the Hawks/Philly game, so I'd not be worried about it.

It will likely happen sometime during the night, around 7pm, prime time or so for network television. Remember, there will be two championship games and likely the first one will be at 3:00 pm or so. I've hardly ever seen championship games around 12 noon, so I'm sure that tradition will continue, thanks to television.

It may cut some time through the Hawks game, but at least you'd still be able to make both games.

Personally, I'd rather watch the sport of hockey than the standing around of American Football, but that's just me.

Do you have tickets for both? It would not be a hard choice for me. Football is boring and stupid.

Hey Mr. Lucky , I thought you would be going to the games.

The bar tab in KOC Weds. night put a little dent in the take home pay.

Will be trying our odds again this coming Weds. We sat in the players

wives and family section. After the game Bickell's Mom says,

"Believe me, we all heard you guys!"

Hot damn was that fun!

That is what we will be doing on the 16th as well. Love the doubleheaders. Worse part is we will be at the Nashville game the night before and will be getting into Chicago just in time for the Bears game. Going to be a rough Monday.
