They had enough time to run the ball three times for a half a yard because of the time out they had available. Throwing a slant into the middle of a defense was as stupid as it gets.

Another fucked up rule that didn't get any mention near the end of that game was the time-out that Seattle had to burn after the juggling catch on the ground. This has come up before this year and others. They started the play clock way too early and do it a lot on long and time consuming plays. THAT was a big time-out that they forced Seattle to burn.

Fluke? That was a tremendous catch. To keep your concentration on the ball with all of the going on was a fluke? Flukes occur out of natural order. That wasn't out of natural order. That guy followed the ball throughout with his eyes. He kept the ball alive deliberately with his legs, arms, and hands. He tipped the ball to keep it off of the ground. That wasn't a "fluke". To call that a fluke would be the same as calling Lynn Swann's catch in the Steeler Super Bowl a fluke.

This just might turn into a perfect storm for me considering that I hate Pete Carroll and the Patriots so much. So, Pete Carroll blows a rod and loses the Super Bowl. That is good. Then the NFL finds a conspiracy involving the only guy in the NFL that I hate more than Pete Carroll as in Bill Belicheat which results in multi-year suspension, disgrace for the owner of the team, and astericks alongside any records obtained by their Ken Doll QB. I can see it now........... Belicheat, Brady and Graft becoming the equivalents of LaRussa, Bonds, and Sterling as slimeball entities in professional sports.

I don't see a lot of so-called "Love" for Wilson by people on this board. I think that the people arguing against what Seattle did understand the damn situation quite simply and just have common sense. I do not care who was the Seattle quarterback on that play, you do not throw the ball there. Carroll outsmarted himself. He never should have let that event transpire. Three plays to run it in from one half yard out with a pile driver in the back field. It was stupid. It was unnecessary. I'm glad he fucked it up. But it sure as shit had little to do with Wilson. He executed the play properly but the defender made a great play on the ball.

Giving someone rings is one thing. Deserving to get those rings is another thing. Cheating to keep someone else from getting those rings is a third thing. What is great is that whatever happens from here, Brady, Belicheat, and Graft will forever be stained by the fact that they cheated to get ahead. All of the them. Graft reminds me of a poor actor in a B gangster movie. Noone can be as transparent. Belicheat fits also as a Rocky's brother-in-law accomplice to the hero in the drama, the Irish stallion, Ken Doll Brady.
