Hmmmm..... tough question. It's VERY CLOSE! /sarcasm

Even if you threw out Jordan and Ewing, or just went by everything done past 2002....
Since Jordan, 7 playoff appearances (1st round KOs, 1 Semi's KO, and 1 ECF appearance)

Since Ewing, 3 playoff appearances (all 1st round KOs)

But Reinsdorf doesn't care.

What dumb things did the Bulls do besides letting BG and Tyrus Thomas go?

Out of the plethora of information ive given you, if all you disagreed with is gordon and thomas then ive more than proved my point to you. Your just to immature to acknowledged it.

Lol as if I cant quote an essay oon why jerry Reinsdorf Is considered the worst owner in Basketball. Id much rather have an owner whos all in as opposed to an owner that clearly doesn't give a shit.

you shouldn't have even showed up...you still make excuses for Dolan while questioning Reinsdorf. Just sad.

What did the Bulls do bad?

They tried to acquire the best player in the game, they tried after many all-stars.

The only "point" you proved was that Brand, Crawford, Artest, Chandler, Gordon, and Tyrus Thomas were staples. One of which were amnestied, two are on the worst team ever, one is a role player, and the other is overpaid.

The Bulls since they broke up the Dynasty iin 99? Seven playoff appearances including one ecf.

It's called consistency. Dolan didn't draft Ewing, he inherited Ewing. If you want to make a case for Dolan and pre-2002, then you have to make a case for Jerry pre-98 too.

Consistency? The whole premise of this argument has been what the Bulls FO has done since 99. Why the Bulls FO should be excused for breaking up a champion is beyond me. Dolan has always made an effort to make the Knicks competitive you cant say the same for Reinsdorf.

Really?

The premise of this argument is what the Bulls FO has done since 99..the thing is they started over in 99. Dolan inherited a good team in 1999, yes an aging Ewing, but still a good team in 99. He pretty much did nothing to make that team goes to the Finals..they were already assembled. The same can be said for the ECF appearance in which not much about the team changed in 99-2000.

I honestly don't get how you can say Dolan has made an effort to make the Knicks competitive while the Bulls have not. Even with their talent they have won a whooping 1 playoff game since 2001. We have won about 25 playoff games in that same time span. The Knicks will probably win a series this upcoming season, I don't know if they go beyond the 2nd round or not, even with that talent.

The Knicks are a poor poor poor example to use. Yeah, they acquired Carmelo Anthony, they've acquired a few All-Star players during the Dolan era..It hasn't always ended up with results.

That's what the whole issue is. Its one thing to say Celtics, Lakers, Spurs, and maybe Mavericks/Heat owners are better than Reinsdorf. The example of James Dolan is probably the worst that could be used.

And the Bulls FO chose to break up that dynasty prematurely. They have chosen not to resign good young players. Reinsdorf has made it clear. Basketball is not very important to him. Is it really the owners fault that key FAs had iinjury issues? Is it Reinsdorfs fault Rose tore his ACL? What even worse is they broke up that Bulls dynasty in spite of all players involved sayiing theyd be willing to sign one year contracts and gladly leave once they lost to another team. None of the core players asked for long term deals.

Dolan couldve easily broke up the Knicks and started from scratch. He opted to buiild on the fly.. didnt go cheap and hire unknown coaches. Actually spent big money on FAs. And even when it backfired, he still tried.

Give me one year where you could look at the whole scope of the knicks situation and arrive at the conclusion it was because of his lack of effort from Dolan

What "good young players" besides Elton Brand, who just got amnestied have the Bulls let go?

The Bulls broke up the dynasty because they were getting old, it wasn't a prime Jordan Pippen. They had to begin paying for what they did instead of what they're going to do.

Dolan's building on the fly failed, no?

I don't give a shit about "trying" I think Reinsdorf has tried to field a competitive team since Jordan left. I've been disappointed that we couldn't get a 2nd star, but I'm not going to say that they didn't "try." They tried for stars. How far those talks progressed, I don't know. I do know that Dolan and Reinsdorf both pursued LeBron.

And the Bulls FO chose to break up that dynasty prematurely.

So you'd rather have Jordan and Pippen completely break down, wither and die, and the Bulls end up sucking by 2003 anyways?

They have chosen not to resign good young players.

Who didn't they resign? Jamal Crawford? Eddy Curry? Ben Gordon? How did they all work out as prime pieces to their new teams?

They did sign Tyson Chandler, Luol Deng, Kirk Hinrich (In 2006, not now), Joakim Noah, and Derrick Rose. They traded Chandler a year after his contract began because they signed Ben Wallace to a mammoth contract.

Reinsdorf has made it clear. Basketball is not very important to him. Is it really the owners fault that key FAs had iinjury issues? Is it Reinsdorfs fault Rose tore his ACL?

Are you indicating it is? Because I'm not clear on the point you're making here with injuries?

What even worse is they broke up that Bulls dynasty in spite of all players involved sayiing theyd be willing to sign one year contracts and gladly leave once they lost to another team. None of the core players asked for long term deals.

You have to remember that Reinsdorf believed in Krause, and that every player hated Krause. Phil Jackson also knew Krause had Tim Floyd waiting in the wings and tried to get Floyd as an assistant coach a few times, to which Jackson rejected. Now in today's pussified NBA, the players own everything and get their say and want in absolutely everything. That wasn't the case in 1999. The point is Phil Jackson had had it with Krause, Jordan wasn't going to play without Phil Jackson, and the team went bust after that.

You can blame Reinsdorf for having Krause's back, but given the facts at the time, there was no reason to believe that Krause couldn't build up a winner again at that point in time as he had clearly been able to assemble a championship squad.

Dolan couldve easily broke up the Knicks and started from scratch. He opted to buiild on the fly.. didnt go cheap and hire unknown coaches. Actually spent big money on FAs. And even when it backfired, he still tried.

And again...How well has that worked out for the Knicks? Do you think its good that they've replaced their coach nearly every two years since then?

D'Antoni was a household name. Hell the Bulls almost had him (Glad as hell we did not). He failed miserably in New York. Lenny Wilkins, failed. Larry Brown, failed., Isiah Thomas, failed.

Give me one year where you could look at the whole scope of the knicks situation and arrive at the conclusion it was because of his lack of effort from Dolan

There is a case known as trying a little too hard..or trying but making the dumbest of dumb decisions in the process. All that needs to be said about the Knicks is Isiah Thomas.

Elton Brand was traded to the Clippers after two 20/10 seasons and winning Rookie of the year. That was over ten years ago. Why are you bringing up his situation now?

They were getting old. But as I said. They werent looking for long term deals. They wanted one year contracts until they lost then theyd move on. Theres no doubt in my mind they beat the Spurs in 99. People forget the Bulls won 62 games in 98 with Pippen missing half the season. Theyre easily a 68 win team with a healthy Pippen. Unfortunately, we will never know because they never got the
chance to defend their title.

You want to believe it because youree naive. Think about the points ive made. Reinsdorfs comments. The routinely low payrolls, players refusal to want to play here. They all go hand in hand. And its not just James. The Knicks over the years have landed top FAs through signings or trades. The best player the Bulls have aquired outside of the draft? Probably 32 year old Ben Wallace

I don't know why you babble on about Tyrus Thomas being a staple of a winning organization. I'm not sure how you believe an organization who has been criticized by the comissioner for mismanagement
Stern told ESPN: “It demonstrates that they’re not a model of intelligent management. There were many checkpoints along the way where more decisive action would have eliminated this issue.”

I think you're pretty damn NAIVE to think Dolan>Reinsdorf. You can't summarily dismiss the draft. Sure the Bulls fell ass first into Rose, but the Knicks also had the cap space to sign whoever they wanted in 2010. The Bulls wanted LeBron.

Do you believe the Bulls wanted LeBron James?

If the answer is no, please don't post.

The Knicks got Stoudemire. He was one of the priize FAs of 2010.

Yes. But Reinsdorf has stuck hiis foot iin his mouth so much that hes dug hiis own grave

If the answer is no, please don't post.

All these point go hand in hand. Wake up. Id also like a link to stern talking about the Knicks.

The one time you mentioned Thomas was as a staple of an organization. That is wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. Are you the Fonz? Are you incapable of admitting you were wrong about Thomas being a staple?

Thomas is a staple of a losing organization. The Charlotte Bobcats.

Carlos Boozer was considered a prized free agent, but does he suck because Reinsdorf signed him?
