Why because the media has underrated him so you aren't used to his name so high?

You may find come Thursday that NFL teams disagree.

The media has not underrated him. He has blown up in the media since the combine. If anything, they saw how well he worked out and overrated him a bit.

Greg Gabriel is not part of the media and he feels Dupree is the single most overrated player in the draft. Stephen White is also on record that he is a second round pick.

My feeling is that this collective Bud Dupree boner is similar to the Arik Armstead-is-a-top-10-pick boner that tore through the pants of the rumor mill a few weeks ago, only to go flaccid just as fast.

So Williams suffered with a strain or slight tear to the Labrum? Is this why he might fall to us at 7?

Fowler play the same exact role as Connor barwin did in Philly last year. Spying the QB, dropping into coverage, leveraging the C & D gap and rushing from the wide-9 and various other spots.

If Dante Fowler is worth a top-5 pick, then Dupree is worth a top -10 pick, as both their game tapes underwhelm in precisely the same way.

Ok... Fowler I'm kind of up and down on and I agree, he is probably not a transcendent talent... But just because one player is overrated it's ok to overrate another prospect? To put it more simply, what in the fuck is your point? Lol... Bottom line, at #7 Fowker is a somewhat reasonable pick, but Dupree is not.

On a different note, I know you're a pac 12 guy - I happen to really love the way Nelson played the CB position for Oregon St. I think he's a mid-late 2nd round talent that would be an absolute steal at the top of round 4. What are your thoughts on him?

He also did not look very good during Senior Bowl week.

He didn't but in fairness he was moved to LT and never played that side prior. He was a RT at Pitt.

Got to love Bill Polian coming on the radio and saying this year is a crappy draft, maybe 15 first round talents this year. He thinks only Williams and Cooper are sure things. Bah. I hate this week before the draft, everyone has an opinion and they never agree with mine.

Gabriel also said Kareem Martin is nothing better than a fifth round pick last year, so his evaluations aren't the gold standard any more than anyone else.

I'm sorry, what exactly did Kareem Martin do last year to indicate he was worth any more than a mid round pick? He was only active for 11 games. The Bears got more out of Sutton than the Cards did from Martin last year.

@AlbertBreer: 1) Changing attitudes towards drugs? LSU CB Jalen Collins is a test case. Had multiple failed tests in college, per sources with 4 teams.

@AlbertBreer: 2) Likelihood now is Marcus Mariota goes 2nd overall. My feeling is Tennessee likes him more than most think. Very well could be a Titan.

@AlbertBreer: 3) Watch DeVante Parker. Some prefer him to Kevin White, bc he’s more pro-ready. Parker is closer to Cooper/White than to the pack at WR.

@AlbertBreer: 4) In the teens, there'll be guys drafted who other clubs have much lower grades on. So last 20 picks of 1st round = unpredictable.

@AlbertBreer: 5) Reason for that? Lots of disagreement on rank of players at certain positions (DE, OL, CB). Reason for THAT: More young juniors (20 y.o.)

@AlbertBreer: 6) RB class is outstanding, and that could hurt those guys’ first-round chances, with clubs believing they can get a solid player later.

@AlbertBreer: 7) Safest player? Leonard Williams – the one non-QB you hear trade-up buzz on. But “safest” not always best (i.e. Gallery, Curry, etc.)

@AlbertBreer: 8) Cooper could go anywhere 3-6. White/Parker good shot at Top 10. After that at WR? Wide open, and Nelson Agholor could well be next.

@AlbertBreer: 9) The crapshoot on the OL is particularly intriguing. Florida OT DJ Humphries took 15 visits, a sign of work lineman-needy teams are doing.

"NFL draft: 5 prospects who could become rookie Pro Bowlers

By Charles Davis
NFL Media analyst
Published: April 24, 2015 at 04:36 p.m. Updated: April 24, 2015 at 05:05 p.m. 1 Likes | 3 Comments

Five 2014 NFL rookies -- Odell Beckham, Aaron Donald, Zack Martin, C.J. Mosley and Cody Parkey -- played in last season's Pro Bowl, and some others who didn't play in the game, like Mike Evans and Jeremy Hill, had cases to make for inclusion.

Here are five players in this year's draft that could be next in line to become rookie Pro Bowlers.

Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
Cooper is the complete package. He's a polished player and a mature route runner. I think he could flourish early in almost any situation, but I have him landing with the Oakland Raiders at No. 4 in my latest mock draft. He will get plenty of opportunities to make plays if he lands there as an immediate top target for second-year QB Derek Carr. Carr will want to rely on Cooper, and big numbers for the former Crimson Tide star could follow, but the same outcome could be in store for Cooper even if he is paired elsewhere with a veteran QB.

Bud Dupree, OLB, Kentucky
I'm on record as someone who believes Dupree will be a better pro than college player, and it might not take him long to make waves in the NFL. He's not the top-rated edge rusher in this draft, but maybe that plays to his advantage in that he goes a little later in the draft than the other highly touted guys and lands with a team that's in better position to succeed in 2015. I have him going to the New Orleans Saints at No. 13 in my latest mock draft. It would be a lot of fun to see defensive coordinator Rob Ryan turn Dupree loose.

Quinten Rollins, DB, Miami (Ohio)
Yes, this is the darkhorse pick of the group, but I can envision Rollins quickly earning star status. It would be one of the season's great surprises to see him go straight to the Pro Bowl, and he has the ball skills to come in and make a big impact right off the bat. Rollins is most likely a second-round pick, and he played only one season of college football after four years as a starter for the basketball team. He made seven interceptions in 2014 on his way to earning MAC Defensive Player of the Year honors. With the right team, he could start racking up takeaways. What if he goes down the same path as Jairus Byrd, a second-round pick in 2009 who was not just a Pro Bowler, but an All-Pro after making nine picks as a rookie? The team that picks Rollins will have a plan to feature him from Day 1.

Brandon Scherff, OL, Iowa
I don't think Scherff is the next Zack Martin, a first-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys last year who earned All-Pro honors as a rookie. However, I still think Scherff can be an outstanding player right away. He played tackle in college, but I think he's best suited to move inside to guard in the pros. He could be a top-10 pick who plugs in immediately and shows his ability to be a force on the interior.

Danny Shelton, NT, Washington
Interior defensive linemen usually don't put up the big numbers that grab everyone's attention when it's time to vote players to the Pro Bowl, but people know how important the nose tackle position is in a 3-4 defense, and Shelton has the potential to be a great one as he enters the league. In a system like Vic Fangio's with the Chicago Bears, Shelton's value to the defense could get him early notice."

If Cooper is gone like it is looking then it is all about White still being on the board. If not, I think we trade down.
