Rice is arguably the best football player to ever live, in a era where DBs could rape a mother fucker.
you don't compare someone whos never played a down in the NFL, to the greatest to ever play.
any time anybody talks about a WR not being fast or tall, they immedietly jump to the Rice comparison and its absurd.

You're just being a dick. No one said he was the next Jerry rice. Just that he has the the same attributes coming out with a bit more speed and a touch less size. One difference with Cooper is that he hasn't shown much willingness to block.

I've also never been a fan of early WRs but the game has changed. i'd prefer another position fall but you don't leave Cooper on the table if the top 6 guys are gone.

Cooper isnt fast? Well ain't that a load of bullshit. I'd post the video of him actually beating Cooper at the combine in a Simulcast but I don't give enough shits anymore.

His football speed is near Elite.

Cooper beating Cooper. Sounds like a seen from The Flash. Now that IS fast!

Doesn't seem to like Beasley overall because he must work in space and can't do much against the run. Has high praise, though, for speed and ability to get to the QB. His highlights are almost exclusively running around people. Not any going through people or shedding blocks. Might be a concern in the NFL where he won't just be able to run around people.

I kind of feel the opposite. That sort of speed and bend can't be taught and will hold up. Problem is that if you give the T any help, he'd probably be easy to rub, he's probably not splitting a protection but unless your Watt that's usually the case. Thing is that he's not as small as he looks. 6'3" 246lbs, or at all weak but he doesn't have a large base to get a lot stronger at leverage. Leverage will never be his main thing as his arm length will lose against a T. At least he's good at slapping away the initial contact. I'd still take him at 7 because his suddenness, speed, bend and natural rush instincts are rather special.

Gruden and Kiper are both high on Gregory in terms of ability. They say he was on track to maybe be the number one pick before this past year. A lot of physicality and running straight through the field from point a to b. Keep the ganja at home and he may have a heck of an impact.

I still want him. I think he's the most complete and versatile edge rusher type in this draft. There must be a lot more to worry about than one pos. test for hem to drop that far.

If you get a chance, watch the Sports Science show on this years choices. Williams and Gregory are freaks. Obviously Dupree is as well but never looks quite as good in mock football drills.

That Gruden/Kiper 1 hour special was fantastic tv yesterday, particularly Gruden.

It was so refreshing to actually watch him critique players rather than talking about how great everyone is like on MNF.

Im pissed I missed the first half hour.

This is from Gabriel's final mock at NFP. Posted today...

"7) Chicago – Kevin White – WR – West Virginia – I feel the Bears have one or two players they will select if they are still on the board at 7. If neither is available, I can see them trading down 5 or 6 slots. White could be the type of player they stay for. That said, if the draft goes as I have it here, there might not be a player that teams below want to move up for. The price is too high."

I really don't get what is so special about Cooper
Hes not fast or tall and cant jump for shit. seems like he has no elite qualities.
I get he runs great routs, but so do a lot of nfl WR's.
when ever any body describes a players best quality as route running, I compare it to "high Motor" on the defensive side of the ball.

I have said many times I think its stupid to draft a WR in the 1st round unless, hes the next Megatron.
is Cooper even close? not Bashing, just generally curious

So you think every "draft expert" is wrong about him??

DeVante Parker - WR - Player

SI's Peter King reports the Chiefs "love" Louisville WR DeVante Parker.

The odds of Parker making it to the Chiefs at No. 18 overall are extremely slim. But with the Chiefs having 10 picks in the draft, including two third- and fifth-rounders each, they're a candidate to trade up, especially with a number of teams reportedly looking to move down. Parker and Jeremy Maclin would be huge upgrades on Dwayne Bowe and Donnie Avery from last season.

"Ray's camp expects him to fall out of Rd. 1
There is growing belief that Missouri edge rusher Shane Ray will fall out of Round 1, reports TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline.
Ray's citation on marijuana possession Monday may have sealed his shocking tumble from the top 10 to Round 2. Not only is this the belief in the NFL circles Pauline's sources run in, but the "opinion [is] shared by many in [Ray's] camp." Ray isn't helped by injury concerns (a foot specialist recently told the prospect he won't need toe surgery) and mediocre testing numbers.

I can't see three teams letting him get by them in NE, GB and Seattle.

Pete Prisco, CBS Sports, on the battle for the best WR:

"I think Kevin White's better. He's like Julio Jones, and Amari Cooper is Odell Beckham."

That might be dumber than anything I've heard on here. Just start the draft, for the love of God.

I don't see the comparison of A.Cooper to O.Beckham at all.

On sports science Cooper is actually faster than white and was actually the fastest reciever they testes and has much better quickness also, and 211 pounds is not small.
Cooper is also probably the best route runner in the draft.

Like I've said before, as the draft gets real close, productive prospects like Cooper will bump up the draft board. It's kind of disappointing from our perspective, first we thought we had a real chance at Fowler and then 'we' moved on to Cooper... Now, who knows.
