Agreed, but I find it silly that he calls A-Ram the "heart" of the team when i've heard many people call him a hot dog...etc.

most cub fans that are baseball fans and that know their baseball, call him a hotdog and are sick of him.

really? that is where you are going with this?

There is no proof, none whatsoever that ARAM is the so called "heart" of this team. We arent talking about albert pujols or derek jeter here, it is ARAM.

Right, because after he went down in 2009... how did we do? And this year? Oh yeah, that's right we missed the playoffs both years. Ramirez was hurt both years. We have no replacement for him.

Looking back to 2008, when he was healthy... he was the 3rd best 3B in the NL. 2007? he was also the 3rd best 3B. We aren't talking about the Cardinals or the Yankees, we're talking about the Cubs. The Cubs go as Ramirez goes.

most cub fans that are baseball fans and that know their baseball, call him a hotdog and are sick of him.

Good for them. I don't care what they say. A healthy Ramirez = a good Cubs team.

yeah ok, got it. thanks for the explanation on something that is completley absurd.

lets not talk about his past, he is a player that is now on the decline, he isnt the aramis ramirez of 2008, we are now going into 2011 season. He is not the same player and never will be. period. At this point in his career he is a 1b player or a DH, and if he does play 3b this year, he will be hurt by july....write that down.

and to say he is the <3 of the team is homertastic.

so if he is healthy this year the cubs are going to be good? please tell me that is sarcasm and that you really do not believe that....

Stats indicate that. If he had been healthy last year(and Lee), we would have been good and we have basically the same team coming back.

stats indicate what?

lets go nuts and say that last year aramis had a josh hamilton like year and had a WAR of 6, you would still technically be 10 games out still. are you insane?

Right, because WAR directly relates to wins. Right.

Stats indicate that pitchers under Rothschild improve.

So you're watching shit?

It'd be nice to argue with you if you brought any substance to the argument. Call me a homer, use a smiley, but you have posted nothing to refute the points on Larry or Aramis.

every arguement i make with you has substance, you just pick the few with a face palm, your arguements consist of "we are getting dunn because he loves wrigley" and " aramis has heart" please. quit it.

Show me, you fucking show me where I said Aramis has heart. I never said that once.

There was a lot more that went into the thought of Dunn to the Cubs than he likes the Cubs.

I'm sure for each thing you think of, there are 5 going the other way.

Torii Hunter doesn't want to play for the Cubs, he's not playing for the Cubs.

Plus, Ramirez is the heart of this team. Why would they go and piss him off? If he doesn't want to play 1st, he's not going to be playing first.

close enough.
