No, Barney, Lee, or someone else would be ready to start by then. Don't do it.

You went up to 2013. But I just realized it would a PO for that year, and he's cheap. So it's all good.

Yeah, he's only on contract for next year, as guarantte. 5M isn't bad either.

Would anyone like the Cubs to go after Jose Reyes? He's been iffy on health, but he still played a lot last year. And he will fit 1 need the Cubs neverr have, not p, 1B. C'mon you should know..

The Mets are shopping him. I'm in favor of it. The price will be high and I would know that. Just don't overpay. I would rather the Cubs go after him, than Gonzo. Call me crazy!

gonzo for 1 year or reyes for 1 year doesnt do anything. the cubs will not be good enough.

getting gonzo and extending him would be ok, but he will cost ya spects and a top dollar salary. might as well wait on gonzo until next years free agency.

I would stay far away from Gonzo, personally. Even farther from Reyes. We'd have to move him to 2nd and his bat loses most of its value at 2B.

The Cubs would sign both of them, if traded for.

giving away any spects for a one year rental with no guarentee that they would come back is crazy. now if it is the trade deadline and you need a player to get you over the top than it is a bit different. but not now, not in a regrouping season.

Teams are not going to waste top spects for a 1 year rental. They have, but it won't happen.

gonzo is a big big salary bro. we talk about dunn being impossible, this would be off the charts.

Yeah, but Kosuke, and Ramirez would be off the books. And possibly Dempster (has PO after next season).

yes i understand, but you will have to fill in those holes, not so much fukudome, but 3b and in 2012 you probably will need another starter or 2.

OF will be fine, the pitching should be good (Archer, JJ, McNutt, Carpetner, Cashner, etc, unless no trades). I'll give you 3B..FA signining, trade, etc. (Vitters, I hope!!!, but doubt it).

but you are talking about spects, nothing is proven yet. they can be great they can flop....you will need to add SPing that is proven, or take the cheap route and gamble on the spects being good.

:lmao: He calls me a dumbass for wanting Dunn. What does that make him?

relax. its thanksgiving eve lets try to not argue....please. :)

Gonzo's not worth 20M per, but he's worth it WAY WAY more than Dunn.
