gotta love that alien cow whatever staring down rey afta da fact.. i still dont get the point of dis scene.. rape... animal cruelty... breast feeding in public... etc etc etc.. most of the island parts were a waste of time and could have been omitted from the movie.. hell the entire movie could have been cut from the movie..

Hell or High Water>Sicario>Wind River

I just saw Wind River the other day. Unlike HoHW and Sicario, there is really nothing going on in this film. Very little to no subtext.

And the text that appears right before the credits...
missing persons statistics are kept for every demographic groups—save for Native American women, whose numbers remain unknown
has nothing to do with the film lol.

yes.. btu what was the point of the scene.. its just filler.. unless they trying to make a statement about ppl staring a ppl breastfeeding or sum shit.. idk.. its just another reason why this movie was garbage..

It's just a reference to the blue milk you see on Tatooine in episodes 2&4. It's definitely nasty, there's other nasty stuff in star wars. IDK, I just don't think it's really that big of a deal.

this scene isnt even the worst of tlj..

but ive seen the milk before. if it was there just to reference.. it could have been a cup on a table etc.. that whole scene was wasted time that could have been used to have luke actually train rey how to use a saber or sum shit.. oh but i forgot shes a woman.. doesnt need training in da force to be so boss...

think about it.. ben had training from a young age... with luke then snoke... yet mary sue comes along in tfa without any force training and can beat his ass...

Well I don't disagree with that

I guess it's more just showing where it came from. I think you see Luke(or Beru?) with the milk in 4, so it's not surprising Luke goes for the blue milk. Also plays a bit into the silly, aloof Yoda-like character Luke has become. Yea, it's not the best scene, but I don't have a huge issue with it.

Well, she does get a bit of training, although Luke doesn't seem to be terribly committed. Neither was Yoda at the beginning in 5.

Do think there could have been more training. Maybe we'll see some in 9 with Luke's force ghost?

Rey is obviously ridiculously powerful with the force, maybe too much of a natural, I suppose that could be argued. She's also more disciplined than any Star Wars character I've seen, outside of Jedi Masters. Her sword fighting ability is ok, I think she has some experience because of her use with the staff, although her fighting background beyond the movies themselves isn't really discussed.

He was injured by Chewbacca at the end of 7.

When we saw them fighting the guards, I thought Kylo looked more refined, better than Rey IMO. But I guess it's hard to say. Like I said, Rey does seem to be very strong in the force.

do we need to spoil proof tfa still?

hurt or not.. the man can stop blaster shots in mid air.. but a girl who closes her eyes and is like yeah the force... can defeat a twice trained jedi.. i tried to give it the benefit of the doubt

hoping they would explain it in tlj.. at least give some semi valid reason at least, but nah. she could fight a lil bit with the staff as seen in tfa but wasnt that good if you go back and watch it.. def not good enough to handle a twice trained kylo ren even if hurt.. she cleared out half the praetorian guard.. come on.. trained fighters vs an untrained force user who btw werent using force moves?? why not lift/push/shock and throw these guards etc etc

even with the imo flaw to that scene i like the actual scene.. didnt care for the death of snoke.. a sith or whatever he was, could use force powers across the universe but couldnt feel/hear a saber moving next to him?

it took luke 3 movies.. an unknown time with yoda and years between 5-6 to become a jedi knight and even more time to become a master.. if thats even canon anymore....

even the chosen one..da anakin the darth.. had to follow a path of growth...

disney chose to kill off this premise for several reasons.. money and gurl power are a couple... endless powerful jedis and sith with no story from all over the universe until disney is no more..

So anakin was nothing without years of training

Luke was nothing without years of training

Rey and fin without training own kylo ren

Instead of milking an alien cow maybe Luke train Rey to make it more legit. Or I guess part of the new sjw wars girls don’t need training they are Jedi day 1

You gotta watch Dark,man. Speaking of that, I need a 2nd watch-through.

Alright, I watched 2 episodes yesterday...
Story is very intriguing and the acting is pretty good.
But the subtitles!! I don't know if it's my internet connection, but it's like 2 second delay.
