Thor is more a lighthearted character, and the director(Taika Waititi) has more of a comedic background(writer and director for What We Do in the Shadows, which is hilarious, highly recommend).

I liked it, but it does clash a bit some of what is actually going on(The Goddess of Death coming to Asgard). Better than The Dark World for sure.

No, I thought Dark World was way better of a fit. But to each their own.

EDIT: Just very sophomoric and has no fit in the world they have presented.

Don't worry Brett has me on ignore.

Brett missed the point entirely which should be a surprise no one. Thor Ragnarok was the best MCU movie so far, it should be used as the model for all future MCU movies. If these films can't have a laugh at themselves they should stop making them.

Let's face it, Brett is fuming over the fact that his wife (mommy) saw Hulk Butt.

he probably missed the masturbation joke as well.
"I dont actually fly, the hammer pulls me off.."
"Your hammer pulls you off? Sounds like you have a pretty intimate relationship with your hammer"

If that joke was in the movie, it would confirm what Brett was saying.

It is not exclusive to Thor-

Stark says in age of ultron to black widow "you and banner better not be playing hide the zucchini"

Loki called Widow a "mewling Quim" (slang for vag)

Age of Ultron, tony, "i will be re-instituting Prima Nocta"

There are off color jokes in all of them.

Also the "performance issues" joke in Ultron with tony and loki

The "I thought I would throw her a bone"
"she did quite a spread on tony"
"She also wrote an article about me"

The "dont worry if you cant get it up" when lifting the hammer

And the all time nastiest marvel joke IMO.... "if there was a blacklight, this ship would look like a Jackson Pollack painting".

You didn't like them but you committed them to memory?

There is nothing worse than a movie from comic books taking itself too seriously, if you don'y enjoy the brand of humor, not to worry, it's not a comedy, something will blow up any second.

That was a big problem with The Walking Dead, Negan fixed that issue, funny character. They should kill of boring angst ridden Rick and follow the wacky adventures of Negan, that would be a much more interesting show.

I thought The Dark World was one of the worst Marvel movies to be honest.

Dreary and uneventful other than the unveiling of the Reality Stone.

The first two Thor movies are my least favorite MCU movies, Ragnarok is one of my favorites.

I only saw it once, but it fit quite well for what they had shown up in the MCU. For me if Ragnarok's style was the first MCU movie, I'd be more ok with it because from that they grew to make the movies better. But to have this style come out now...it's like they forgot how to do movies. Very thankful this was a library rental and something I no longer regret not getting the time to see it in the Theater.

I loved the jokes... Just pointing out that they are there.
The guardians one and hide the zucchini were the tops.

It is about time Thor got a decent movie...love his character but you are correct- the first 2 Thor flicks were the worst of the worst.

I hated that they made them earth- centric. Dude can go anywhere and do anything and it has to be about earth and his love interest?

If you haven't ever watched the animated movie planet hulk, check it out- ragnarok borrowed heavily from it.

Isle of Dogs was alright. It had a ton of wasted potential because Wes Anderson spent too much time focusing on a ton of things/characters you wont care about.

Insidious The Last Key: 6/10

Not a trainwreck by any means. It has more comedy in it than the other installments in the franchise. The demon creature in this one is laughably lame though.

Yeah, the whole James Wan movies lost it's luster after a few of them, and out right lost it when he stopped directing them.
The original Saw, Insidious, and Conjuring were really good. Refreshing in the American horror movie scene, but then the spinoffs like Anabelle were horrendous.

Annabelle Creation was actually really good, but you're right for the most part. Conjuring 2 was a loud obnoxious soulless film.
