Good one 😆
IMO......There's not a lot that can be done when movies constantly remade.

What are you going to see next??
I don't see many movies at the theatre these days. I just recently took my dad to see Twisters. I had to help him get up the steps as he doesn't walk well anymore. But I got us the best seats in the center.

Twisters was pretty good. It uses the same formulas as Twister did. It wasn't as good as the first one, but the point was the big screen and surround sound is the right experience for this type of film.

If some friends wanted to go I'd see pretty much anything. At some point I'd want to see Deadpool Wolverine, Beetlejuice, Am I Racist

Yeah ....the big screen experience is always cool IMO.👍

I didn't know they remade Twister. What have you heard about Deadpool Wolverine, Beetlejuice, ??? I spoke with someone and they said Deadpool Wolverine had a lotta
questionable "coded messages"

Well, Twisters isn't a remake, or sequel, but it's pretty close to a remake. I haven't heard anything about Deadpool or Beetlejuice, just that Baldwin and Gena Davis aren't in it. What coded messages did they see in Deadpool?

I recently watched the VelociPastor. 10/10 would recommend. Here's the synopsis.

After losing his parents, a priest travels to China, where he inherits a mysterious ability that allows him to turn into a dinosaur. Although he is horrified by the new power, a prostitute convinces him to use it to fight crime.

They saw coded .....Political, sexual and social type messages / agendas.
And I don't really care for Ryan Reynolds as a actor. They try to cast him as this edgy, sarcastic funny guy in different roles and it just doesn't work for me.

“Twisters uses the same formula as Twister did.”

Well, now you’ve ruined it for us with that spoiler. 😂

I know, right? Who would have guessed? :sneaky: At least the folk who never saw Twister will still be surprised cause I didn't say the Twister wins in the end.

I hear ya, peeps have different tastes. I liked Deadpool. I thought he was funny. The humor in Deadpool 2 wasn't quite on the mark for me, but I still enjoyed most of it. Any comedian you like these days?

I gotta think about that. I liked the old school comedians like Redd Foxx, George Carlin.
Thats why I don't go to see comedy movies. No one today, really makes laugh.

Not a film, but The Bear. This is pretty fucking solid. I can see why people wouldn't like it, but if you've worked in the service industry, there's more of you know you know.

@KittiesKorner I think you didn't care for it. I get it. There's some really obnoxious shit about this show, but there's so legit shit too.

My buddy's dad who is a head chef at a restaurant on the river walk said the first few episodes gave him anxiety. I can see it.

I have worked in the service industry. The representation of that was fine but it was the rest of the show that didn’t sit well with me.

I think it's obnoxious and then cool. I dunno dude. If I know a legit chef saying it made him anxious. Well I'm gonna believe him.

That’s fine. Doesn’t make me like the show more.

I felt like I kept going back and forth on that show. It's not even that I thought it was bad, I just don't get how it's so revered. The only one that should have even seen an Emmy is Jamie Lee Curtis for the Xmas flashback episode.

Then they drop Season 3 over the summer and the very first episode is just a half hour long montage. That was my breaking point and I refuse to go back to watch even another minute.

CATCAT-WRAP-02-1.jpg

Fell upon it by chance, watched it because it's Stevie from 'Eastbound and Down' and loved it because it's a movie wrapped in a story wrapped in a parable wrapped in surreal painting.

8.5/10
