I am. If a condition of employment is not smoking pot then don't fucking smoke pot. I'm not allowed to smoke pot in my job either. So I don't do it.

It's fine for companies to tell you not to smoke pot at work or come to work drunk/high. Having private companies tell you not to smoke it on your own time is complete BS, it is none of their business.

Except drug testing doesn't tell you if someone smoked weed on their time off or while on the job. So all they do is test and if you're positive...bye bye.

Except that doesn't tell them that you were smoking at work either, so they shouldn't be allowed to test you.

The point is that in some jobs they want your mind to be as sharp as possible and any drugs alter it. Ironically if its a prescription drug they can't do shit about it so long as you have the script for it. Becomes an HR nightmare lawsuit. For instance being a forklift operator. I had a friend who was smoking pot and working a forklift while handling extremely heavy shit with it. I always told him how much of a dumbass he was for it. He never listened and at one point he knocked over a hell of a lot of expensive merchandise being careless while stoned. Got tested and of course was fired. He was making good money too. Dumbass should have just kept to smoking off the job at the very least.

But it being illegal doesn't stop idiots from using it at work now. It is widely available, so is alcohol, and many prescription drugs including opiate pain killers. People cause accidents because they are tired, distracted, and technologies like cell phones. Making weed illegal for everyone because some moron will use it at work when he probably will anyway is ridiculous.

People still get arrested for possession of marijuana ? Ridiculous.

Biggest waste of time ever isn't it? I guess it still makes the state money so they'll keep nailing people for it. lol

Give me a break Camden. Do you make everything into a race issue?

Nah bro, in a sport 70% made up of black people he expects the white guys to get popped for doing drugs. Even if they aren't doing drugs. Even if the rest of that 30% isn't white either. Because. Reasons.

Taxing marijuana would make this garbage state a lot of money.

I've said as much in the past. The fact Illinois is so god damned broke and isn't raking in that pot tax money or hasn't allowed casinos inside of the city of Chicago is beyond Special person. They need that revenue badly.

it's a proven fact bro

google it

That’s exactly why I completely fault Foster on this. Dude was in mother fucking ALABAMA for God sake. What did he expect to happen with all those inbread hillbillies? Plus, there’s a lot of haters out there. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was at a club, and some jealous dick called the cops on him just to fuck him over.

Although I don't approve of the race card in this case he is right. Not just race, but wealth and status as well. White people who smoke in the suburbs rarely get caught. If they do, I dont see tough punishments. I think as a society we should focus of violent offenders instead of non violent ones.

Really. So you are telling me you want your CardioThoracic Surgeon to smoke a bowl before coming to work and doing your open heart surgery? If your school bus driver is working for a private company that is contracted to your kid's school district you are fine with him getting stoned at home and possibly coming to work stoned to drive your kids to school?

I personally don't give two snots about a professional athlete doing pot but he signed a contract to play in the NFL and part of that contract is an agreement to not do certain drugs. Whether someone agrees with the rule is immaterial. He signed that contract and should be held to it. Until the NFL policy is changed then he should and will pay the penalty.
