I think its fair to be confused by releasing Lewis for the scrub DE. I'd guess most bears fans had some optimism that Lewis might provide pass rush whether that was unfounded optimism or not remains to be seen, likely by another team.

They replaced one scrub for another. ?‍

Real help ain’t coming till the draft.

Have you ever seen Rush play or are you going off of what Schmitz wants?

I don’t know who Schmitz is. Were these two defenders the guys you wanted? I can recall seeing anyone asking for either of them is all I’m saying. It’s a letdown.

Rush seems to have all the traits but is slow on react time which I’m hoping can be coached up. Talking about the 6th cb here.

It’s not the end of the world, at least we got the punt returner to me that was the top opportunity to improve with these cuts.

No doubt about it. They basically have waived the white flag on the pass rush for this year and have decided to try to be as good against the run as possible.

So Yannick, Walker and Green combined last year for 20 sacks.

The Bears entire fucking defense had 20 sacks last year. ?‍

Hard to be worse than last year. I’m hoping to see a big jump against the run though. This at least gives them a chance for a stop. 3rd and 10 is this teams nemesis.

No I just wanted to know if you have actually watched Rush play other than some highlight reels or reading something on the internet from an "online scout."
