Chara has been a shell (a big one) of himself all playoffs...

Him and Lucic are nothing but a bunch of front running whining nancys.

**** it... good win for the Hawks tonight.

I hope both Bergeron and Toews are ok.

If Lucic has a game like he did in game 1 for game 6, then you may see a game 7.

I'm glad that it looks likely nothing happened with Bergeron's head. I'll take it as a good sign that he was sitting up in the ambulance when it pulled out of the UC? I think this was precautionary for an MRI since it's likely something in his mid-section or back---checking for internal bleeding and damage, etc. before allowing him to fly home and be further treated by the Bs doctors.

Hope Captain Everything is indeed okay like all the media seem to be reporting. Not that I don't think he's not gonna be feeling the after effects of the huge hits tomorrow, Gm. 6, and beyond. Just don't know---even Q said post-game it's the mythical "upper body injury". Gonna try to hang on to the more positive things like Q saying he was "hopeful" Toews will be able to play in Gm. 6 and all the tons of media who kept reporting that he really just seemed fine to the naked eye, nothing out of the norm after a win.

Wow, it's not often a person can find an actual reason to quote Barry Melrose but he actually said it best to Steve Levy in ESPN's highlight video post-game, "It was a bad night to be a Selke Award nominee." Truth to power there man.

TSN has posted all of their usual post-game analysis videos and Bob McKenzie is GUESSING that maybe Bergeron first got something out of whack on a play 12 mins into the 1st when he fell down around the faceoff circle traffic once the puck was dropped and Roszival stepped up---Bergeron seemed to get jostled and went down hard.

Also, it appears that the TSN reporters were around when Toews left the UC and they said he seemed "fine" (admittedly only to their eye-test). What I took as good from that is that they saw him leave just like any other game, I'll assume around the same time as others so clearly the Hawks weren't making him stay any longer or do anything special or taking him anywhere?

I was down in the Ketel One after the game and Toews looked fine as he was leaving.

Doesn't mean he IS fine, but if it was worse I doubt he'd be on the bench in the third.

I had the same exact silent one syllable expression with exclamation point - "Yikes!" - when I heard it might be his spleen.

Then, again who wouldn't use an exclamation point with Yikes.

...my bad...

Actually he didn't take a shift after some point in the 2nd. While he was on the bench, he was not on the ice.

If not for the bullshit no goal in gm #2 this series is over right now. Shame the NHL blew the call, but now the Hawks have TWO game to finish it.

Talked to him for a few minutes outside. Seemed fine, but like you said that doesn't always mean much. The fact he remained on the bench leads me to believe he is fine and they were just being cautious with the lead in hand.

From TSN blogger Jonas Siegal:

Questioned on his struggles opposite Kane and Toews the past two games, Chara's eyes widened in exasperation before a brief and ultimately dry response. "I'm not here to talk about myself," he said. "It just happened that they've been scoring some goals."

Still debating. I've seen one Cup on the road live, so we are thinking of sitting this one out.

Yea and no mention of the blatant cross check from Mcquaid to Shawks face either.

Just beat the hacks in Boston and be done with the "media's" team.

And again if for not the fucked up NO GOAL in game #2 this series is over. Period.

Need three more periods of solid hockey like the first two in game five. They were low stress, own the ice frames that were almost boring.

Hope JT is good to go Monday. We'll need him for the hoisting!

Which raises an interesting question. Will he dress whether or not he is healthy enough to play?
