I believe JR mentioned this on NHL Live on NBCSN post-game.

i dont know. rumbles are starting now that other angles of the hit are coming out to the media. the media does have the power tio influence suspensions. hearing a lot of one gamers out there.

more important that toews can play game 6 over boychuk being suspended a game.

i think he actually might get a game by the soundbites all over the place tonight the last hour.

Well I hope I'm wrong, then, but agree haveing Toews next game more important than another player being suspended.

you know sometimes this late in a series and in a season i would rather not see a suspension. dont think boychuk has been that productive this series so i would rather see him remain in the games. otherwise its some young kid coming in with fresh legs whos unfamillair. i dont think suspensions late in series are ever as detrimental to a team as many think it can be unless its a superstar and even then it sometimes just doesn't matter as the Hawks showed when Keith was suspened his one game in the kings series. sometimes it actually helps. crazy?

Just a thought. its a weird situation this late in a season

trip on the empty netter? OH you mean when Frolik, admittedly, clipped Krug by swinging his leg and stick in a dying-seconds-of-third-period defensive scramble--yknow, the one where Krug's legs and feet fluw up over head in to the air from somehow?

*******, cant believe WE were the ones getting a dive call against (when it was really a holding the stick haha). And **** boychuck up the ass hole and urethra; me and TCD will do the honors.

Pretty simple answer, it's about setting a precedent. That's it's not acceptable at any time. Preseason Game 1 or Game 7 of the NHL Final. It shouldn't matter. Should have no bearing on when it happened, who was involved, what productivity they were putting out prior to the head hit. You call it what it is.

not getting into that debate right now its not going to go anywhere. im trying to look at it as something that might or might not bennifit the hawks in getting this cup. which all i care about right now as a fan. the headshots debate can continue next season as they obviously will. too late for this kid to be getting into the political end of the nhl..not in my head space right now as a fan. everyone is going to have an opinion on wether that hit was an intentional head shot or not and nothing will come out of it because no one will agree.

im simply not in the brain set for this debate. 1 game away from a cup is all i care and nothing can change the past and debating about the head shot stuff isn't going to make that 1 game away more exciting..infact it makes it boring. right now i dont care about the nhl politics i care about the chicago blackhawks winning.

You understand those two discussions aren't like mutually exclusive thoughts right?

the headshot rules arent going to change btw now and game 6 or/and 7 no matter what comes out of this boychuk hit. Waste of time to get deep into the political end of the nhl headshots right now. sorry its too late. im more interested in the thought that maybe boychuk not being suspended might actually bennefit the hawks. sorry i know it sounds cold harted and maybe it is but right now thats all i care about.

im ridding high on a great hawks win right now too...dont want the buzz to be killed. sorry. politics are a great way to kill a good buzz.

They don't even need to be necessarily changed, they just need to be enforced.

by the way Frolik totally slew foot that Bruin player on the blueline when rask was out of the net when Bolland scored. ooooooops lol (i forget what Bruin it was). Probably should have been a 6 on 4 for the Bruins to end that game..the Bruins did have a right to be a little choked..oh well..too bad so sad..happens to all teams.

that made up for Bruins not being called for about a zillion interference calls that game anyways. sometimes things on the ice take care of themselves i guess. :)

It was Krug, the only man who has made the BGITW his biotch!

At this point, let's just win Game 6 or 7 first before we even talk about that?

BUT... If we're going that route... Its Crawford's to lose now... But if Boston wins it all, its Rask's to lose.

It was Krug that Fro tripped. And I agree, it was a trip BUT. . .I also give ZERO fucks! :icon-lol: Ya know, because of the fucking two-arm shiv to Toews' head? The cross-check to Shaws face that drew blood and only got a single minor? Gm. 2 disallowed goal anyone? But I am loving Bs fans EPIC levels of butthurt whining about "The TRIP That Ate Pittsburgh"! LMAO, GMAB. Missed calls are made IN EVERY NHL GAME THAT IS PLAYED so thems the breaks like the Gm. 2 result. Zebras could just have easily made a call right before "TheTRIP That Ate Pittsburgh" when Chara caught the puck and then carried it before throwing it where he wanted instead of dropping it immediately. BOS didn't lose tonight because of officiating---give credit where credit is due because the Hawks showed up engaged as **** and were the better team tonight even though the Bs amped up their level of compete and game in the 3rd.

As I have said, its nowhere near over yet. We did what we needed to do.

Boston is not an easy place to play in especially with all those damn flies.

Uh, okay.

Examples please.

Decent win?

Kane dominated, Chara was pedestrian again. Kane/Toews/Bickell - the Bruins don't have an answer for that line so far. If they don't figure it out in game 6 then silver will be presented. In fact the refs had it out for the Hawks in game 2 since that was a good goal and it technically should've never went to extra time.

Unfortunate to see Toews/Bergeron hurt. I thought that game 5 was fast paced and the refs let it go. The pace was not in favor of the Bs. The Hawks sat on their heels in the third trying to protect the lead, and it almost cost them.

The PP for the Hawks was horrific as usual.

Chara has been a shell (a big one) of himself all playoffs...

Him and Lucic are nothing but a bunch of front running whining nancys.

**** it... good win for the Hawks tonight.

I hope both Bergeron and Toews are ok.
