your first point was "mike tomlin says fields is good so maybe the bears should listen to that" to which people pointed out that Pittsburgh has had horrific QBs since big ben who was drafted pre tomlin. you then turned that in to "mike tomlin is not the GM". so i guess i think the disconnect here is if the pittsburgh steelers listen to mike tomlin and the best they can do is kenny pickett, thats bad. and if they dont listen to the guy who has been their headcoach for 15+ seasons, the bears probably shouldn't either. so either way you run with this, it was a bad point imo!
that wasnt my point, as like i have already told you i was being sarcastic. i guess it all needs to be in green font for you to grasp that? people have constantly been pointing out pro fields and anti fields people as reasons to move on or not move on from JF1. i guess i cant have fun poking fun at those people without certain people taking it to mean i believe it 100%.
people pointing out pittsburgh having bad QB's taken during Tomlin's timeframe doesnt matter much since he isnt the GM making those decisions, so not sure why your latching on to that.
and again, you are staying on the extremes of both sides of this. pittsburgh absolutely listens to their HC of 15+ years, but that does not mean he has the final say on personnel decisions, otherwise he would have that in his job description. but this has already been explained to you that the truth is likely somewhere in the middle
so sure, if you stay on the extremes only then yeah its a bad point. but that isnt real life. and i wasnt really trying to drive some point home anyways, as like i said...i was playing devils advocate and poking fun at the two cults
