so your response to tomlin is not the GM is to point out acquisitions made by the GM not named Tomlin?? calm down, sparky
no my response to you sarcastically saying "well im sure the people of this board know more than tomlin" is that it isn't a good point. when you found out the steelers had zero good qbs come in under him you changed your point entirely and said hes not the GM. now you're just floundering around hoping nobody notices. thanks!

leave it to you to take sarcasm as someone making a "point."

and i stated a fact, Tomlin does not make personnel decisions. he has input and say, but does not make the final calls there. if that somehow means i am "floundering around" then so be it. it doesnt shock me that you come back with zero substance and declare you have me in some "got you" moment.

THANKS!

heres what you said. i didnt agree with it, and i read further where you hit the panic button saying "mike tomlin wasnt the GM". this was probably because you forgot he didn't draft big ben, an honest mistake. but you doubled down saying he wasnt the GM, thus changing your point. so i said it was a bad point, and now you're having a break down. not sure how im misrepresenting this situation. sorry i thought your opinion on this particular thing was bad, my MISTAKE!

big ben was never mentioned and not on my mind, i guess he was on yours though!

how is me pointing out that Tomlin isnt the GM as me doubling down? doubling down on what exactly?? you may want to look up what that means.

i didnt change a thing...what did i change?? i think youre very confused here, bruh

and just because you claim someone is "breaking down" doesnt make it true. so far youre the one that seems triggered here, not i...but i guess since you said its the opposite, then it must be true!

MY MISTAKE!

So you think he should be trusted to evaluate Fields, but he doesn't have any say in their QB evals over the last 15 years?
i never said either of those things. nice try

Then what are you saying?

Whatever you are saying, what in his record suggests that Mike Tomlin is a good QB evaluator?

your first point was "mike tomlin says fields is good so maybe the bears should listen to that" to which people pointed out that Pittsburgh has had horrific QBs since big ben who was drafted pre tomlin. you then turned that in to "mike tomlin is not the GM". so i guess i think the disconnect here is if the pittsburgh steelers listen to mike tomlin and the best they can do is kenny pickett, thats bad. and if they dont listen to the guy who has been their headcoach for 15+ seasons, the bears probably shouldn't either. so either way you run with this, it was a bad point imo!

that wasnt my point, as like i have already told you i was being sarcastic. i guess it all needs to be in green font for you to grasp that? people have constantly been pointing out pro fields and anti fields people as reasons to move on or not move on from JF1. i guess i cant have fun poking fun at those people without certain people taking it to mean i believe it 100%.

people pointing out pittsburgh having bad QB's taken during Tomlin's timeframe doesnt matter much since he isnt the GM making those decisions, so not sure why your latching on to that.

and again, you are staying on the extremes of both sides of this. pittsburgh absolutely listens to their HC of 15+ years, but that does not mean he has the final say on personnel decisions, otherwise he would have that in his job description. but this has already been explained to you that the truth is likely somewhere in the middle

so sure, if you stay on the extremes only then yeah its a bad point. but that isnt real life. and i wasnt really trying to drive some point home anyways, as like i said...i was playing devils advocate and poking fun at the two cults

ah you're still going after I said sure thing.... hm..... I'm guessing "dongbears" has a better qb track record than Mike Tomlin so that works for me.

I wonder if Poles could squeeze the #20 pick out of the Steelers for Fields. Arthur Smith does love to run the ball and Fields does help a run-based offense.

idk why you're insulting "dongbears", you're the one who said something stupid and then tried saying it was sarcasm 😂 🙉
no my response to you sarcastically saying "well im sure the people of this board know more than tomlin" is that it isn't a good point. when you found out the steelers had zero good qbs come in under him you changed your point entirely and said hes not the GM. now you're just floundering around hoping nobody notices. thanks!
You yourself have acknowledged I was being sarcastic with my comment...now youre trying to claim it wasnt and that i am falsely claiming that it was. well, which is it numbnuts?? :poop:

Bears draft Williams at #1, then package #9 and #20 (Steelers) to get MHJ.

Boom.
